Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

Not only staggered entrances but also staggered times, can’t let the stands all fill up 10 mins before K O. Then after the game you would have to dismissed a row at a time. Part of the attraction of going to the games is sitting or standing in groups.Even if you don’t actually know people after a se...

Re: Leinster 19/20

Leinster have cancelled Season Ticket sales for 2020/21 see their https://www.leinsterrugby.ie/leinster-r ... n-tickets/
I suspect that the other provinces could well follow suit.

Re: CEO and Coach briefing 11 may

Two points firstly the Ulster players are not released back to the clubs in the current circumstances they are on loan from their employers Ulster Rugby. Time has moved on from the amateur days when clubs were supplying amateur players to Ulster. I can remember at least one prominent Heiniken Cup wi...

Re: RTÉ Best Professional era XV

It would be a toss up for me between Stienmtz and McCluskey, Stienmtz was a real class act relying on his skill and footwork, but McCloskey has his physicality plus an under rated skill set which is still developing. Cave would be a personal favourite but it is hard to overlook Marshall over the las...

Re: Jonathan Bradley

The real irony is the Tele describing the Gilroyarticle as a “Premium Article”personally I gave up buying the BTele after they published the scurrilous Advert re the court case. I suspect that I was not alone in doing this.

Re: Benetton v Ulster Sat 29/2 @ 15:00 GMT

Looks very doubt full of these fixtures will be played as the Nov19 spreads. So likely that we will be awarded 2pts potentially losing 2 pts. However if both Italian sides are to pickup a number of 2pts it could impact on some of the lower teams especially if Zebre are picking up points.

Re: New Scrum Half?

Mixed feeling about signing Alby yes we need a backup for Cooney, would have preferred a local 9 on the bench. We have at least three potential candidates from our local resources but all need time to mature. Finlay is playing well for under20’s, Doak has already featured for UlsterA but is currentl...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I think that Ulster have three promising 9’s coming through in Finlay, McKee and Doak and it will be interesting to see how they develop. I suspect that Ulster Rugby are well aware what is in the pipeline hence the reluctance to buy in a Journeyman 9.

Re: Salaries on the Pro14

What disastrous suggestion, firstly there is no salary cap in the Pro14 just the decisions by the individual unions own rules.
I wonder is the Rustler prepared to disclose his earnings to public scrutiny?

Dublin 4 Fawley if from Skerries should feel right at home alongside the O’Connor brothers who have both seen their future at Ulster and who are getting plenty of first team Rugby.

Re: What are we feeding them?

I agree with Bangor Boy Ulster are leaving it too late to commit to potential Academy players. Most players and parents are only too aware of the fragility of the career of a pro player and unless they are outstanding then university ot college choice is the priority. Also can’t overlook the length ...

Re: Ravenhill crowd/attendance

Ot only have the numbers picked up but the actual support within the ground has picked up too. It is helped by the much more positive performance over the last few games. It seemed for a while that we were getting the 4 tries for the bonus point and then shopping up shop. Great to see that they are ...

Re: What are we feeding them?

Part of the problem is the lack of university places here in N.Ireland which leads to many opting for university either in England and Scotland. I can remember many years ago going toTrinity College on a Friday afternoon to watch the Irish Universities play the Scottish Universities and half the stu...

Re: Ulster v Connacht Fri Dec 27th 7:35pm

Two strong sides in spite of IRFU rest protocol. Great to see players returning from injury and in Addisons case suspension. Good to see O’Connor junior on bench was impressed by his 80 minute stint last week. With the exceptions of the missing Hendy Jacob and Jordi this must be virtually a first ch...

Stadiums in Ireland

Lot of talk on Leinster web site re the FAI going belly up and allegedly owing €55m and perhaps putting their 42.5 % of the AVIVA up for sale if the RoI government not prepared to bail them out.How do you see this impinging on theIRFU and their finances. Nearer home we must be grateful that the Ulst...
