Re: Petrie departs…..

Best remembered for turning the club into a house investor spending half a million cash on something totally unrelated to sport never mind rugby whilst gurning about the loss of £700k on a match.. Maybe had they not got rid of the groundsmen without replacing them in advance of the cancelled game t...

Re: Petrie departs…..

When you consider all that has happened in the past few weeks its hard not to attribute significant IRFU involvement in proceedings. The "removal" of DMF running in parallel with Burns move to Munster. The swift appointment of RM as interim head coach, along with the emergency deployment o...

I take it that was John Fogarty on the training pitch

Re: Schools Cup 2022 and 2023 and 2024

Overall I thought BA were the better team but repeatedly handed Inst opportunity after opportunity.
Nevertheless an entertaining game, and and as others have said well reffed by Chris Busby

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

But this is Ulster.

Can we be sure that when Bryn was sent to the shops for a player he was told to bring back a Vincent Koch but came back with a Werner Kok.

Re: Contract Situation

Has anyone any knowledge that the so called 48 blazers have any input to the running of the professional side of things? Surely that is what the professional game board is for? The rest are just club men who have more than likely worked for many years at their own amateur clubs and have been put fo...

Re: Contract Situation

But for the" blazers " most rugby clubs would cease to exist most are volunteers unpaid who devote many hours to enable the game to exist at club level -- many are competent networkers but there are a few who are there for the ego trip. Post matches dinners are either paid for in advance ...

Being a well respected member of this forum or not still doesnt excuse the s***show that UR has turned into. It s a matter of collective responsibility. I doubt that if I knew who this member was I would feel inclined to assign them respected status

Re: Contract Situation

Looking at some of the other names on the management committee quite a few have been kicking about for years. Retire from the bank or public sector and pick up a nice little number in a blazer. Perhaps our issue isnt first up with coaches and CEO's. The structure at the top has failed, not fit for t...
