Sammy Arnold ???
With Hume and Moore there don't see the need, plus there is Hyde playing with Ireland U20's.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Outhalf and fullback maybe .. but there are loads of young lads coming through the back three. We already have Faddes who is a bit of luxury. If it was a back coming back I'd hope for Lealifano- class act good for the team and as a mentor .. not that I see that happening, Can't think of anyone else

Re: New Scrum Half?

With Lewis Finlay going so well with the U20s... why would the IRFU sanction that now? I suppose the question is - will Ulster be brave enough to stick him on the bench from next month till end of season? I think signing him gives Finlay and/or Doak space to develop with a decent mentor when Cooney...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

@KoTH - brilliant! Over my head completely! Does not make up for Pienarr and is unnecessary. We have three good scrum-halves and two in the pipeline. Well if Alby is a 1 yr signing and we hotshot of Shanahan and Stewart he can mentor the young guys coming through - especially when Cooney is aw...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Backs - most urgent need is a back up 9 of a better standard. - other key area is for Dan to determine who is the back up to Burns and give them plenty of exposure. Burns has played well this season but he is becoming indispensable for the wrong reasons (ie there is no-one else) rather than because...

Re: U20s / Women's 6N 2020

Good article on Finlay. 50 passes a night put Finlay on the U20 fast track https://the42.ie/4991819 Saw that and was going to post it. Great to read he's in the academy now- sounds like quite the player, I think there is definitely room to bring him and Doak into the senior team, plus McKee is also...

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

who were the props on the under 20's match today? 2 Leinster men. Ulster's 5 were hooker, no 8, scrum half, centre and winger. Caught a bit of it- Finlay at 9 was impressive- it was commented on that he seems to be very like Munsters Craig Casey from last year - which is a hell of a compliment as C...

Re: Christmas Targets pre Euro fixtures

I wonder if Callum Reid might get a chance, might be too early for him though. Lowry, Lyttle and Jack McGrath should be back over this period too and is Addison's ban up yet?

Re: Injury Update

Am I right in thinking Ian Henderson had both a finger injury and also a thumb injury requiring surgery last year but returned after 3 weeks. Just wondering about McGrath as this weekend will be three weeks for him. I know all injuries/surgery are different but just hoping. O’Sullivan was up agains...

Good to see Lowry covering 10- hopefully he gets some decent gametime from the bench.

Interesting that Ethan McIlroy is on the bench for the senior side tomorrow rather than lining out for the A's

Re: Celtic Cup 2019/20

Yeah thats a very young side- Cooper is the oldest I think? Most of them are u22/21? Hope they go well - be interested if anyone gets along as to who does well- plenty of potential talent there and I wonder how Dalton has improved since his summer away.

Re: Celtic Cup 2019/20

Match report- 25 phases for their last try on the 83rd minute- thats pretty determined.. https://www.ulsterrugby.com/2019/08/scarlets-a-32-ulster-a-35/ would be good to know who went well although McCann got 2 and Callum Reid scored. edit- tries are up on twitter all through the pack https://twitter...
