Re: Stand up fer the Ulstermen in London
You cannot use a Travelcard Zone 1-6 to travel from Gatwick, it is only Oyster or contactless debit/credit cards. If you have one of these I would highly suggest using it for all your travel on all train, tube and buses as it will give you the cheapest price. Please note that it is only Southern, Ga...

Re: Stand up fer the Ulstermen in London
If that is the one by Bow Road tube station that was my local for a while. If they are showing the rugby I would be surprised. If anything I would say to pop just up the street to the Bow Bell's, it's a proper East End boozer and if you ask nicely and buy a few pints then they may show it

Re: Stand up fer the Ulstermen in London
I used to live out that side of the city and unfortunately there is nowhere to watch Ulster games. Barely able to find a place to watch any rugby!

Re: Stand up fer the Ulstermen in London
Afternoon all, I hope this finds you sobering up from the weekend.
This may sound like a stupid question and feel free to answer with a stupid answer but, are there many heading to Philomena's on Friday for the Cardiff match? I am thinking of making my first appearance.

I know and I have been here nearly eight!
Looks like I will not be able to make my first game until the Scarlet's on 27th but I will swing by then

Re: Brogan's Irish Bar in Fulham
Maybe I will have to give it another go then, I may have been a little quick to judge. I used to watch the Ireland matches in Waxy's Little Sister or Waxy O'Connor's itself, always good craic and good Guinness. More recently though (Saturday) I watched the Ireland game, followed by the Scotland game...

Philomena's, did that used to be O'Neill's? If so, I always used to avoid that place like the plague as it was a magnet for Stag Do's etc.Duckjnr wrote:Thanks Fermain, maybe check it out next week! Will be hard to beat Philomenas

Re: Brogan's Irish Bar in Fulham
Used to be a regular in Brogan's, it's a good pub with a decent pint. Unfortunately a little too far for me to go to watch a match, even though I am in SW
