Re: Any word on the Academy?

We seem to be forming a strong backbone of players with a young age profile, that will be able to be kept together for a while. I'm going to nail my colours to the mast and claim the below team is capable of knock out Euro rugby within the next 3/4 seasons. There's talent there that there hasn't bee...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Sounds like a good try from Faddes too. Silly to write the guy off when he’s been hampered by injury, yet still tops the Ulster charts for Pro 14 tries and yardage made. Agreed, was playing in Super Rugby, decent player. Hope rugby is not going the way of soccer (football) when one bad performance ...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Hope Oscar has fully recovered from that horrendous knee injury he sustained against Leinster during last years U19 inter pros.

He looked like he could have kicked on.

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

Forget about Leinster. You have a much bigger game this Sunday. Ulster's season will either end or continue and you will know how you measure up against teams from another league. True, D4, true. We'll give it a real rattle so long as we don't go down by a couple of scores early. I don't think Toul...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

Its certainly gamesmanship, and a fine line off cheating. I thought it was in the new refs directives....

It will be interesting to see how it is policed tonight.....

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

Nothing to lose, just get stuck inta them and play with pride and passion. Tough, tough test, but you just never know. Hope the ref is on his game, lost loads of respect for Larmour after seeing him hold a Munster guy in a ruck to gain a penalty. How did you feel when Marty Moore flopped on Edinbur...

Re: Premier player subscription

So went to get my togetherwe discount applied to my Premier Sports annual subscription and have been advised it is only for new customers. After reading the small print I see that is the case. Has anyone else had any success around bargaining to get the discount applied. No reward for loyalty it wou...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

I wonder has anyone calculated the amount Sexton is being paid for every Pro14 minute played -- he must be the highest paid per minute by a mile . For a play er who is no longer the best Irish out half by some distance . He is 35, another year max then Byrne takes over surely re 2023 RWC. Carbery i...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

Any chance that John and Mads and Murphy when kept for the second half will win it for us. John is still the best scrum half at the moment. A temporary loss of a little form happens to all players . Go for it John you are still the man for us. Dan knows we have to rotate the starting 15 to do the l...

Re: Big Nick

It was a pity that Charles did not show the same commitment that Nick did. I agree that Charles was a luxury which I suspect was maybe motivated by “ World Domination” by Bryn’s boss. For me Charles commitment was never in doubt, he was professional but ultimately playing in a team that didn't have...

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

Earlier in this thread the figure of 4.5K was mentioned as a socially distanced capacity, putting access and all the other issues aside, how viable is that and does it refer to 2m or 1m social distancing. If that figure is close, and I have no reason to doubt it, then there will be problems getting...

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

I would reckon capacity of 4.5k and number of ST that took up TU could be close to each other. Roughly 50% uptake, just gut feeling. URno 9, care to tell us a little more about your gut feeling about that 50% ? I guess you could say it starts in my mouth and runs the whole may to my Trevor Brennan....
