Re: Ulster v Cheetahs Sat Feb 22 7:35pm Premier Sports 2

O'Sullivan, McBurney, Moore, O'Connor, Treadwell, Reidy, Murphy, Coetzee, Shanahan, Johnston, Ludik, Hume, Marshall, Balacoune, Lowry. Andrew, Warwick, Kane, O'Connor, Rea, Stewart, Moore, Gilroy. Something like that. Not sure if Timony is fit. I think you have it Rocky, albeit I'd go for Gilroy to...

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

His action was permissible under law 13 -1 (b and c )-- he went to ground to gather the ball. he was not tackled nobody had been tackled and the ball was loose.-- he went to ground gathered and played the ball all permissible under Law 13 -1 (b and c) clause 13-1 (a) includes the very important wor...

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

Watch it again -- he wasn't tackled therefore why did he go to ground ?-- only logically call--- is to secure and ball and then play the ball which he did .. unfortunately in front of the wrong referee -- A player on the ground is allowed to play the ball --except in a ruck or maul --it is of cours...

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

Rather than blame individuals or look to individual incidents, I wonder if we went there with the game won in our minds and couldn't quite believe that Ospreys were fully fired up. As Sparky says, Ospreys wanted it more than we did and we just didn't seem to be able to shake of the disbelief in the...

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

The penalty call actually depends on whether you consider a ruck had been formed -- away from home with Mitrea as referee -- it was never in doubt -- that the call would be a penalty. -- you can't play high risk ( iffy calls ) away from home. He was off his feet, played the ball on the ground. Ston...

We've needed a backup 9 for a decade. Shanners doesn't do the basics well enough.
Young Finlay looks handy at U20 level, but there's a gulf in class between where he is now and the Pro14.
Not writing him off, but managing expectations.

Doak Jnr and McKee also in the mix.

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

Wee D’s box kicks, Wee D getting caught behind our scrum doing his Meerkat impression, Wee D offloading slower than the Hunt glacier... But then again he might have one of his lucky days and score a couple... It all adds to the excitement Six numbers and the bonus ball for the euromillions please

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Scott Penny is the man. Done deal? Would love it to be. A little bit young? If you're good enough you're old enough. He's an exciting talent. I've seen enough of Allison and McCann to think both will make it. Reuben Cruthers is a name I think we will hear more of in the next 18 months.

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

So with Stockdale signing a new deal, the unknowns for next season are Addison, Andrew, Ludik, McGrath, Murphy, Reidy and Warwick. McGrath as another year, Ludik looks like he will retire, Andrew could do with looking for a new job, gazumped by McBurney and Stewart on the way. I suspect Reidy will ...

Or two on Saturday two on Sunday.

Surprised French TV didn't want both French fixtures on the Sunday.

Two at same time is a nonsense.

Might prove a bit divisive in squads if everybody knew exactly what everybody else was getting.
I'd hang up the boots immediately, imagine the same transparency at any company though? If the wife found out what I really earned I'd be in it with Wray.

I think this is winable.
Agree, but it's as Dan states we need our perfect game.

We still need to go about 2 more levels and play there consistently at that level. I've confidence Dan can take us there.

Waiting patiently to hear of any new signings.

Re: Heineken Cup seeding.

Bart S said that Ulster won away in Toulouse. Can someone tell me when? I know they beat Castres away but I can't recall the Toulouse game. IF Ulster win against Toulouse AND Saints beat Exeter does that mean Ulster will have a 'home' semi at the Aviva against Saints? Ulster have beat Toulouse home...
