Re: F¥cking disgraceful bbc
As for the TV show PJ was never likely to get airtime and in my view, that could be justified given the (heavily curtailed) Ireland career he had. Curtailed certainly, but with 25 caps he represented Ireland the same number of times as Barry McCann and 16 times more than Brian Smith - both of whom ...

Re: Ulster v Scarlets Friday 7:35pm KO Premier Sports 1
What has happened to Sean Reidy? He hasn’t appeared on a team sheet for a while and yet doesn’t appear to be injured. He has been a consistent grafter for us - surely his form hasn’t dipped so far so quickly?! Ready (unfortunately) is headed for the exit door to make way for Sean Reffell. A shame r...

Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN
but to try and bring the players into this a pretty low tactic. Totally agree! I have a lot of sympathy with the Grenfell families etc. as the whole affair has been badly handled not least by the Government. Target Petrie and the Ulster board of management by all means but the players are not party...

Answers to questions A: IMHO without substitutions a winning team at 65 minutes is not a winning one at 80. Sorry - can’t agree with this. Too many needless and senseless substitutions have ruined games in recent years. I give you Thomond Park, Easter Sunday 2012, Heineken Cup Quarter Final when we...

Some real hometown calls in that match for Quins - not just the clear forward pass but the final ‘try’ was short of the line all day long!

Article by Owen Slot in the Times today highlighting the FRIFU’s exclusion of ‘the country’s in form fly half’ - entitled ‘Pretending Paddy Jackson does not exist serves nobody - instead use him as a lesson fo young men’.

You’re right Rum’n it was not a great game to watch - both sides looked rusty. However, at least there was an Ulsterman on each side and one in the middle to boot!

Re: Jack McGrath
I'm a huge fan of Jack's, and would love to be proven wrong but from watching his recent games he looks like he is playing on one leg (I can't tell if he is favouring his new hip or if his old hip isn't far behind the last one). I would be amazed if he makes it back to anything like full fitness. I...

Re: Leinster 1st Jan 2022
LEINSTER HAVE RESUMED training today as they aim to fulfill Saturday’s scheduled United Rugby Championship meeting with Ulster in Belfast. Leinster took a collective break from training last week as they looked to stop the spread of Covid-19 among their squad. There are still many Leinster players ...

Re: Leinster 1st Jan 2022
Postponement would probably suit both clubs but an increasing build up of postponements will cause URC a rescheduling headache and they may look to apportion blame and allocate wins/points accordingly. I doubt the NI Clownshow - sorry - Executive, will seek to enforce a lower crowd limit or a shutdo...

Re: Our boys
Petrie nailed his colours to the mast early on in his tenure and stated categorically that ‘they’ would not be back and it was a position that would not even be reviewed. As Dave rightly says - they would not want to come back with all the attendant publicity that would bring etc. and I couldn’t see...

So, 5000 fans in Limerick and feck all, more or less, in Wales and Scotland. Static cases over here yet I fear my excuse to escape the in-laws on Boxing Day is hanging by a thread….. No match in Limerick now - Mexicans still COVID ridden! Sad though it would be to alter now, but I can’t see how 15,...

Re: Thank you Louis Ludik!
Good to see - he really deserves a proper send off - and the way things are going this potentially could be the last opportunity in front of a big home crowd!
