Re: Schools Cup 2014

Campbell getting to the final next year? Discuss. Cant see why not, they have a strong 2nd XV who beat our school with a sizeable margin. From what I know they are a young side too with a summer training camp due I believe then it could bode well. Be interesting to see how the 2nd XV finishes off. ...

Re: Schools Cup 2014

Absolutely player welfare. Its not a matter of giving other schools a chance to beat MCB - its about giving them an even keel. Competition is healthy, but not if its always entirely one sided. ...... It becomes an expectation at MCB to win now and perhaps a shake up is needed at Branch level. Not ma...

Re: Schools Cup 2014

Seriously a bad day at the office! It's tiring after a while .... RBAI were the better side and only have themselves to blame for putting their kicker under so much pressure - someone else should have stood in after he missed 2/3. No doubt MCB will go on to lift the cup once again and fair play to t...

Re: Medallion Shield

Going into the second half with a 5-0 lead, CCB had already won this game. The wind was fierce and CCB had the advantage in the second half and deserved all three of their tries. Wallace fought hard and their no 9 and 11 were outstanding I thought, but the backs for CCB were incredible. The pace and...

Re: Medallion Shield

Good luck to both teams tomorrow. Might be the only time many of you get to play at our great home of rugby! I'm sure you guys are nervous but enjoy the experience. It's something you kids will remember for the rest of your life - win or lose. Your schools will all be proud of your achievements.

Re: Ireland vs France

Poor game we all agree! Just commenting to say that I hope the guys who were on the 8.50 enterprise last night travelling in first have stinking hangovers today. All up for a good day, and not condoning the many of us who had one too many - but when u r slobbering about fee&@ans and nig@&rs ...

Re: Medallion Shield

It's laughable when the refs get blamed - surely we are no longer school boys ourselves! It was a fair margin of 4 tries to one. I don't think UB are to blame for the refs. Again as I say I was a neutral supporter and I thought penalty count was fair - if I recall ccb gave away more penalties and th...

Re: Medallion Shield

I don't know what match you were watching run wild. Obv an inst fan but I was along as a neutral and apart from early pressure by rbai - ccb dominated this game. Unsure of the ref calls to which you refer but in all honestly ccb deserved the margin and it was a very fast game. Physical throughout an...

Re: Medallion Shield

Not for once criticising MCB for not getting involved at U16 - their representation through the senior squad at the minute is credible. But definately from having two kids through the system there is definate more UR involvement now in schools with BMCL and his team - out coaching med level etc than...

Re: Medallion Shield

Would tend to disagree with you Beattiespace. I'm taking it from your posts that you are mcb staff or parent of med player? Certainly this past year there has been a big step up at involvement in this u16 level which mcb don't partake in at this stage. Coaches out in schools working with u16s and th...
