Re: Ulster v Connacht

I am generally a positive person but tonight was horrific. We (in my opinion) had better players in most positions, were at home and playing a team that finished 5 places below us in the table. To lose therefore has to be about culture and mindset. Possibly a bit of wrong tactics too. Whatever that ...

Sexton 1 try 3 appearances and 25 minutes on the pitch
Absolutely unbelievable comment :duh:

Re: Season highlights

So many good things to remember with so many talented young lads coming through Robert Baloucoune, Mike Lowry, Nathan Doak to name a few.
But for me the highlight has been watching James Hume, what an unbelievable talent he is.
Watch this space…….

Recovering now from the enormous pain of that defeat and reflecting on where we are. Lots of positives to be honest: some fantastic young players who just get better and better: Lowry, Timoney, Baloucoune, Doak, O’Toole, Rae, Moore, Mcllroy etc. James Hulme playing the best rugby in Ireland at 13 (b...

Re: Ulster v Toulouse Sat Apr 16 8pm KO BT Sport 2

It was a fairly bitter one to swallow alright; so close and was looking forward to it this year especially with the prospect of the knock-out inter-pros, which would have been incredibly tasty. The fact that there was (in my opinion) a really bad decision so close to the death where we should have ...

Don’t think I have seen a worse referring performance as that in a long time. Absolute catalogue of errors from Adamson in the last 10 mins there. That said Castres threw it away

Re: Ulster v Emirates Lions Friday October 15th 7:35pm KO

Can’t believe how unlucky Addison is. We were all singing his praises and agreeing now he is fit he is so important for ulster. Then that bizarre incident happens. He looked in real pain. Feel for him, hope he gets back soon and for him in time to challenge for a place in the 6 nation which I think ...

Re: Ulster in the Challenge Cup

The facts are: stiff arm to the head, therefore red card. Non facts: unfortunate, not malicious, not deliberate. No duty of care was shown by Nadolo. He stiffens his arm as Cooney approached, THAT is wreckless. There was no attempt to play the ball with his arm stiff like that. Player welfare has t...

Re: Quins game in the bic biro

Agree Dave, Lowry has amazing speed of thought and execution. That definitely makes him look good at full back at times as he has so much more time to see what’s developing during a play and then he can use his speed to stroll through the gap. But we are not harnessing his full potential there. If w...

Re: Marcell Coetzee

Play ML at 10 is my view. His speed of thought and speed of execution is exceptional. That’s why he looks good at 15 but he will add more value at 10 particularly in Addison returns as I would have him at 15.

Rob Baloucoune for me too. Took his opportunities brilliantly, also strong in defence. Really pushing now on the international door.

Is that rainbow cup thing still on? Not sure how it can be if the lions is off SA is a red list travel banned country at present. I can't see that changing for quite a while. Currently anyone coming into the UK will have to have a negative test before leaving and quarantine when they get here. The ...
