Stewart Moore is the guy to sort out our midfield.

Re: Ulster v Benetton Friday October 2nd 8:15pm KO

Hume and Moore has a lot of potential as a pairing, their skills dovetail pretty well together with Hume's great physicality and athleticism, and Moore's real game intelligence.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

I'd really hope that if McGrath is getting a week off then they give Reid a shot from the bench ahead of McCall.

No proper cover for lock huh, not one person they could possibly want to try out.

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

I think ruddock must be questioning his future now, would he be worth a punt to try and nab? He would amd should probably go for a payday however given how Jordi et al's ireland prospects have gone. Yeah because we need more second rate Leinster players. Coming North makes your Ireland chances wors...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.

Ulster need to sort out 13 as well as 10, Hume could be worth investing more time in to see how he builds but the partnership with McCloskey is maybe still missing something going forward even if they approach the defensive chemistry McCloskey and Marshall have developed together. Marshall can be re...

Re: Ulster vs Leinster at the Aviva 29/8/20

Ulster's failings are ultimately of Ulster's making, it's not anyone else's fault that the players we're producing aren't of the same standard as Leinster's.

Re: Ulster vs Leinster at the Aviva 29/8/20

Part of me thinks the sooner young people get it and get over it the better, as long as it is then somehow not spread to older people. It is looking like it is going to be with us all for some time yet! Well other than the potential that it can cause long term lung damage even in those young people...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

I this portrayal of Marshall's flaws as solely coming from his tendancy to go off script, and not that he was a generally not great player with poor decision making, a not great pass and a lacklustre kicking game.

He was an outstanding talent as a schoolboy but for whatever reason from u20s onwards he never looked like delivering on that potential.

Very surprising to see Jonny Stewart there, was almost certain he'd be gone.

Just a racist joke huh. This martyrdom complex some have about about the highlighting of very questionable behaviour really is quite something.

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

On Marcus Rea, that game where he won the MOTM is something I've always viewed as an exception to the norm with him. He's never particularly blown me away and I think Matthew will be the one to be more of a lasting presence in the squad.

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

Such a shame about Hall, injuries really did for him. I'm slightly surprised though that Agnew wasn't released at the same time given how his career has failed to launch through injuries too.
