Re: STOP BRENNAN 2007-2027

Years ago I was at a wedding reception in a garden, hosted by two nextdoor neighbours in a terrace of houses. I asked how they coordinated the cooking between the two houses. The answer was, 'It was ok, our back passages are attached.' 😊

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

Big Jack won't be forgotten too easily in Ireland. RIP big man. He was more than a soccer player. He was a committed socialist and one of the founders and a spokesman for the Anti Nazi League. He was also a big supporter of the striking miners, organizing food parcels for families and even giving h...

Re: Big World of Rugby

It's never solely about rugby, is it Merv? It's all about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETxmCCsMoD0 . Usually I'm pretty cynical about these things but I can see that there needs to be some money made. I suppose there's no chance of them using the competition to blood a good number of young player...

Have to agree with the lad. I always liked Marshall. Of course he wasn't perfect and he was always going to pale beside Ruan. But he always turned up and did a decent job.

Stamp Duty in Irish is Dleacht Stampa
Good on you Mike for this thread but would phonetic spellings accompanying the Irish be a possibility? I'm sure I can make a fair stab at pronouncing 'stampa'. Not so confident about 'dleacht'.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Then there's luck. I watched a programme on football last night that claimed that 47% (I think) of goals had a very significant amount of luck in them and all goals have some element. I guess that the figure for tries is higher.

Not looking good, tb. Apart from Tuilagi are there other first team regulars leaving? I don't recognise the other two.

Willie Thorne loses his last wager. Always really sad to see a fine sportsman ruined by gambling. Of course any life ruined like this is a tragedy. I'm afraid my blood runs cold when I see the tv full of gambling ads and sports teams sponsored by bookies.

Re: Petrol Prices 2009/2020 - post updates here

Just realised that I haven't put petrol in the car for over a month and still have half a tank full. Of course this has to happen when prices are at their lowest in ages. Attractive as some might find it, I'm pretty sure stockpiling at home isn't a good idea!
