Re: Salaries on the Pro14

Good discussion, lads. Helped me to see things from a couple of new angles. Not as straightforward as it seemed to me at first. Thanks :thumleft:

Re: A little bit of politics folks`

Agreed Jackie, how can anyone expect these wee lambs to scrape by on 49 grand when an average nurse lives the high life on 23 grand and a new teacher starts on around the same ridiculously inflated pay. Shameful! No wonder many of them have to have two jobs.

Anywhere I can see this incident? Probably ought to see what I'm talking about before talking any more!

McCloskey gets the call up!
Great news for the lad. Of course I wish he could be in two places at once - we'll miss him badly.

I could actually see Glasgow beating Leinster.
Sadly we'll never know. Sorries away to Leinster in qfs. Come on you Mexicans! :mexican: :salut:

Fair enough LL. I hadn't thought of that. I assume there isn't any hint of a 'few quid stuffed into your boot' culture anywhere in Ireland?

Re: Nigel Owens apologises to Saracens?

I'm with Justin on this. When I refereed, I'd say the same thing to any lad I sent off. It's not an apology for doing the right thing or for giving foul play its just deserts. It's, if I can use the term, 'pastoral'. I'd say something like, 'Sorry lad, but it's your own fault,' or 'Sorry lad but you...

Re: Heineken Cup seeding.

Us away to Toulouse and Mexicans at home to Sorries. It's fifteen against fifteen, so we have a chance. Please, please, please let the Mexicans hammer that crew out of sight. There's something not right about letting them keep their current playing staff, unless they've reduced their wages to within...

Have to admit Addison did look a little like Jared Payne a couple of times, ghosting through a gap or two.

I think we have a long way to go, but if we can get some sort of winning habit at home going it will do the cause no end of good.
Get yourself along to Ravenspan.
Take notes.

Re: Salaries on the Pro14

Seems to be still open to question whether or not Sorries (or Salaries as they seem to be on the Bath website) actually have got their comeuppance. From what I've read, they accepted the drop to the Championship, rather than open their books to the inspectors. Will they also be able to keep the titl...

Re: Ulster v Bath

I guess it's called grinding out a win. We were really not good enough but at least the defence looked pretty sound. The first try was a bounce of the ball hing and the second was a fine piece of mauling by Bath. They didn't look like scoring, due as much to our good defence as to their weakness. As...

A number of folk stood up. I'm liking Bobby Baloucoune more and more, especially his tackling, so I could have gone for him. However, for sheer bloody mindedness and being as safe as houses in every department, Lukie it is.
