Re: Where roughly is the Olympic Torch now mate?
Thought I'd get this trhread going again. I assume it's reached Paris by now and will make it to the big do soon. These opening ceremonies are such a lot of tosh. Re: Ireland 7s
They should have won it. The turnover on the NZ line was poor. Kennedy just needed a wee bit of calmness.

Re: Ireland 7s
Aha.
I think I've worked it out.
Three pools of four.
Top two in each group, plus the two best third placed teams go through to the quarter finals.
The others play for places 9 - 12.
The four who don't get through to the semis play for places 5 - 8
Semis are the same as other sports

Tried, but can't follow the logic of the pool system! If we lose to NZ , I assume we still gave a shot at gold.

Re: What are you watching?
Been watching 'The Closer'. At one level a fairly unexceptional American police procedure series. On the other hand, it regularly looks quite provocatively, at issues like the nature of truth and justice, a range of human relationships, social justice, social policy and so on.

Gret win byb the Argies. Are they now coming genuinely to the top table.
Do Newcastle have a special relationship with Argentina? They seem to have a fair number of players from there.
