Re: Injury Update
Not even premier league football clubs get MRI scans at the weekend. An MRI scan is not as straightforward as an x-ray or CT and there is no point in bringing it forward as it will not affect the treatment over the next couple of days. If he does require an ACL reconstruction or similar then it is ...

Re: Heineken Cup Replaced
FFR, IRB and the rest of the Unions have them by the balls and they know it. Watching McTwattery et al making all their noise is a little like watching a bunch of toddlers throwing a tantrum. The grown-ups are just watching them from a distance, waiting for them to burn themselves out before they fa...

Re: Heineken Cup Replaced
By his own timetable, McTwattery should have announced the detail of his new competition (including the structure of the 3 tier tournament and presumably the tournament sponsor) weeks ago. A BT expo today would also have given him an opportunity to make these announcements. He didn't. Instead it was...

Re: Tom Court leaving?
Good luck to him. Great servant to Ulster. At 33 though, we were always going to struggle to match a 3 year deal.
Met him a couple of times. He is possibly the most articulate front row forward I have ever spoken to.
Also, possibly the most articulate Australian I have ever spoken to...

Re: Heineken Cup Replaced
Anyone remember the ultimatum issued by McTwattery giving the Pro12 'clubs' 4 to 6 weeks to join his DFS World Series of Rugby Ball, or else?
Well that was over seven weeks ago....

Re: Heineken Cup Replaced
Regarding the BT deal- IRB regulation 13.2 states that no organisation can enter into negotiations for broadcasting rights without the permission of the relevant union(s). This means that either- 1) RFU were not consulted and the deal is null and void Or 2) RFU have sanctioned negotiations for Europ...

Everyone hates Austin Healy.
I know a bloke who kicked the sh*t out of him once.
I bought him a pint.

Re: Online Petition: IRFU Save The Heineken Cup
Think IRFU are already on board, you should spread the net wider (to include Scots and Italians) and send it to IRB.
Have signed it any way.

Re: Heineken Cup Replaced
I take no offence from anyone and nor do I try to cause any, this is an emotive subject and there's a lot of smoke and mirrors about. I posted the Grunaird report, purely as a piece for debate. I , from this side of the Irish Sea, see it as a positive step forwards to getting a rugby competition th...
