Re: The tribute to Nevin by George Hook

Google would have been no use to you at all Snipe, your query was Saturday 7:42pm, the article wasn't on the Independent until Sunday morning! Was that why I didn't google it then......................? No, that was because the kids were out playing and they normally do that sort of thing for you.

Re: Nevin Spence Memorial Service

Each to their own. Wasnt suggesting that anyone should or shouldnt be offended I just wondered if something had prompted it... Seems it was rather impromptu and not something that I am used with during worship, not that that makes it wrong or unacceptable I assume he agreed with something which the...

Re: Nevin Spence Memorial Service

Maybe i heard it wrong, i was at the far end frim where it was shouted. Was it an appropriate thing to do at that juncture moondance? Although it was held at Ravenhill, it was basically a church service, whether it is appropriate or not for someone to shout out "Praise the Lord" depends o...

Are you sure about that Colin? The only thing I or my sons heard shouted was "hallelujah".

Re: Nevin Spence Memorial Service

I'm disappointed not to be able to go, but if I was going, I'd be in my Ulster top. As WW says, UB haven't specified what should be worn from what I can see. From the 606v2 site on Thursday from a poster called Rava: I have just returned from Ravenhill where I spoke to the staff in the Ticket Offic...

Re: Cables

As BR and LKoTP have both said - moving and dignified. With the odd bit of humour which the man himself would have appreciated. I couldn't help but smile when I saw the name of the undertaker on a sign at the side of the hearse - Ravenhill Funeral Services. So, tomorrow evening, meeting at Ravenhill...
