At present McCall stated last year at the URSC AGM that Paddy Wallace was the Humph replacement :? if this is the case we should be seeing more of Paddy in the 10 shirt and Humph starting to sit on the pine  It could be very frustrating to watch :!: That may well be the intention, but the fa...

Interesting observation BR about binding in open play. Presumbably a maul situation wouldn't count as you're potentially static when a maul develops and presumbably a maul doesn't count as open play. Well the first support player to come in technicaly is binding before the maul has started (by defi...

Yes. With all due respect to the URSC committee, I'd rather have the extra 1,000 or so supporters at the match than the extra few thousand 'supporters' club members.

It has to be pointed out that the situation is very different in Munster. The Munster Supporters Club has a huge membership, but how many would be there if not to increase their prospects of receiving ERC tickets? It could be that they will have more Supporter Club members (and associate members) th...

I don't want injuries - so you'd think that more protection should be a good way to go - but I think you're right BP the evidence from American football suggests that the more protection the players wear the harder they tend to believe that they can hit the opposition. This actually leads to more i...

The 'flying wedge' was banned in the late 70s/early 80s (IIRC). I'm not sure if its use in open play (as opposed to a tap penalty/free) is covered by the law, I think that is one for ref interpretation. But the letter of the law would suggest that binding to the ball carrier before the tackle is ill...

How many people would genuinely be interested in joining an unofficial club? (Apart from us anoraks) As I see it people join URSC because its an option on their season ticket application and/or they think they may get around to attending an event, or using the away travel facilities. They do this in...

Friday flight would be great, the drive is about same as Belfast to Dublin only road is better  I think it's a bit further, but as you say it's a good road. Are you complaining about Belfast- Dublin road. First we get complaints about prices of flights now complaints about what has to be one ...

I think the Bordeaux route works well, if only they had a Friday flight.

Looked them up on the Classic Travel site and they are direct charters from Belfast with flight ony options at £341.50 and £381.50 convenient yes BR but expensive  I can get the whole family to Treviso with Aer Lingus for that sort of money. :D Thanks Rooster - it can be considered. I'm go...

If they were to offer a direct charter ex BFS early Friday pm, transfers and dep BIQ late Sunday pm. It'd be worth considering. We tend to think of these things in terms of ryanair/easyjet prices - but there is an argument to pay the extra and lose the hassle - like I say limiting the length of the ...
