Dr. Thomas Bowe

We'll need to tug the forelocks next time Tommy goes past - he has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Science by the Poly (sorry UUJ). Congratulations Tommy. Thomas (Tommy) Bowe Wednesday 2 July, morning Tommy Bowe, the Ulster and Irish international rugby player – and Ulster alumnus – is to receive...

Re: Positives and Negatives: The Final

Oxford English Dict. Definition of probable adjective: likely to happen or be the case How referees interpret "probable" I can't say, but it appears to be along the lines of Andy Ward, and his "definite try" viewpoint which works very much in the favour of the offending player wh...

Re: Positives and Negatives: The Final

I was just able to bring myself to watch the final again on the tv last night and was a bit annoyed at Andy Ward's comment regarding the high tackle on PJ as he was heading for the line. Andy said something along the lines "the referee could not not award a penalty try because he couldn't be de...

Re: Rabo Final Tickets

Regarding North Stand, I have two tickets that I "self-printed" with the following detail:

Section: NTH1 Number: G5 79 (and 80 for 2nd ticket)
Unreserved

A tadge confusing so say the least.

Re: Rabo Final Tickets

Having been allocated seats in the North Stand without being given an opportunity for selection I was curious as to their position. The following link to the Leinster website for Season Tickets gives the option to find the position of any seat, apart from the Grandstand where only one Block is avail...

Re: Sarries away it is then....

It appears that leg injuries due to the additional grip with plastic pitches could be an issue after all.

Re: Sarries away it is then....

Could someone clarify if there is a minimum capacity needed for 1/4er's? I have read 15,000 but thought it was actually 18,000. Sarries new ground at Copthall is limited to 10,000 + possibly squeeze a few more in at the corners. Incidently the Allianz stadium is very poorly served by public transpor...

Re: Will Ulster have a 23 man squad for Castres?

I saw Nick Williams this morning (Sunday 13th) on a pair of crutches and what looked like scaffolding supporting his right knee. I didn't get to speak to him so can't say how serious the injury is, but clearly he is out for a while at least. I did however have a chat with Johann Muller who was on go...

Re: A heartfelt apology to Nick Williams

Ulster are starting to play a risk-and-reward game and I must say it is much more entertaining as a result. Whatever Big Nick's shortcomings, they must surely be outweighed by other areas of his game and not least his attitude. In the dying minutes with the game long since won he was still trying to...

Thanks damian, I will wait. Flights are booked but don't really want to splash out another £200 until we get there and would rather be among the Ulster mob in any case!

Re: Whose going to HQ ?

If (let's not be presumptious!) we make the final will the Ulster Branch get an allocation of tickets for Twickers? I notice a fair number of tickets for sale on ebay, some at silly prices e.g.2 No. £81 tickets for £350. Some of the tickets are courtesy of Munster fans who jumped the gun and are off...
