Re: 6 nations 22

Hate rehashing all the trial stuff again it really puts me in a serious strop. But I can't help myself! I sat through quite a lot of it. The whole drive behind the media was to end their careers from day one. The agenda was to try to salvage the reputation of one connected wee girl out of spite and...

I would really prefer not to listen to the ridiculous drivel from the ITV pundits if possible.

Re: 6 nations 22

I thought it was the €500 notes that were usually mentioned in connection with alleged criminal activity and therefore not readily blanked. I used €200 since (a) I thought the ECB had withdrawn the €500 note for those very reasons and (b) since it symbolised the rather limited nature of the IRFU's ...

Apologies for the vagueness in where the pair nest, but don't want a few wee spides after them.

Re: Big Merv's nature watch.

Large raptor in a tree just off the Upper Newtownards this morning. My eyes were still a bit bleary but I guess it must have been a buzzard. Yes, probably was. There's a pair of buzzards who nest in one of the big ash trees on the Castlereagh Slopes (the planner's name for the bit between Dundonald...

Re: 6 nations 22

In two minds about these two posts.... I can't decide whether I'm being patronised or condescended to ? In the first instance however, to go back to StandUp's post @4.31pm, no one is disputing whether PJ will ever play for Ireland again, whether IRFU would want to invite him or he would want to acce...

Re: March 12th

Ravenhill opens 1.5 hours before for normal league games and 2 hours before for Inter Pros / Heineken Cup games. Many thanks for the info Neill. Shows how early we turn up...... Just coming back to the match itself, I recall reading somewhere in something from UR that the specific purpose was to al...

Re: Ulster v Connacht Friday February 4 8:15pm KO BBC2NI / TG4 / Premier Sports 1

Did anyone else notice the tout line being advertised on the big screens to report bad behaviour? Seems a bit excessive and will be interesting to see how many calls it gets. Complaints about Kingspan perhaps??? Again, if it's the 07770 number you're referring to, it's been up on the screen at some...

Re: March 12th

You're welcome. I think Ravenhill normally opens around 2 - 3 hours before the match anyway. Mainly to give plenty of time for those who wish parade up and down outside signalling their virtue  [note: demonstrating your virtue by either visiting the shap to get a red wig to replace that blue o...

Re: Ulster v Connacht Friday February 4 8:15pm KO BBC2NI / TG4 / Premier Sports 1

Enjoyed the evening and, for the first time ever (ST holder since 2001), with 79 mins and 39 seconds on the clock, I said to my mate we would duke out, regretting it for the next four minutes as the noise from stadium made clear. Great to get the BP, my only concern was the ease with which Connacht...

Re: March 12th

I would suggest that is probably the very reason for the kick-off time..... Plenty of screens in the bars under the new Old Grandstand.

Re: 6 nations 22

It would seem to be far more helpful to world rugby that, rather than demoting Italy and adding Georgia, Argentina, based in Madrid, were added. The 'Boks big foe is the All Blacks not a NH team. Argentina have a far better record in World Cups etc than Georgia and seem to be the big losers from the...

Almost forgot. What about the pre game "light show"?For those of youse who won't get off your collective holes and go to the games', this seems to involve somebody flicking the light swiches on an off for 20 seconds before the teams run out. Totally underwhelming even in the context of Ra...

Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN

Rather than talk about Leona Maguire (apart from to add congratulations), I though it might be useful to put up the A5 leaflet handed out at the Mount Merrion gates on Friday. Kick out Kingspan leaflet 040722.pdf A few observations: CATU's lawyers have taken a long hard look at this leaflet, the sta...
