Tom O'Toole and Sean Reffell's availability for selection will be assessed through the week. Club captain, Iain Henderson, had toe surgery yesterday. He is now expected to be sidelined for approximately three months. James Hume (knee) also had surgery yesterday and he will enter a period of rehab f...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Don’t think Murphy will be our 10, he was average enough at u20 level and looks a bit small, not a good omen for stepping up to pro rugby. If Ulster sign Aidan Morgan he will be in the driving seat and could well be out flyhalf for the next decade. I do agree on McKillop, an out her big blindside f...

Re: Squad depth 2024/25
Lots of old and not so old English players heading for the Chunnel in the summer. Saints are badly hit and, whilst Lawes is 35, Ludlum, Moon and Ribbans (last year) are all 27/28 and hitting their prime. At least one of our boys has earned himself a lucrative move though, after impressing the French ...

Re: What are you watching?
You didn’t catch Cailini at the Lyric Merv? Had an hour or two to kill before watching Romesh at the GOH. As a good 60% or so of the audience rose to their feet, I had a bit of a moment with the lady who remained seated next to me. Something about us getting more discerning as we got older…. I do fi...

Re: Squad depth 2024/25
Morgan seems to be a short Brennan running 10 which could be interesting. Maybe wait a year and sign Damo. In terms of the all important back row, it sounds like Ewers is going and I’d be surprised if Izzy at 6 is not an ongoing experiment. A big, heavy lock would come in handy for a couple of years.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Jackman seemed fairly confident on the 42 pod today that Ewers is off. Munster have apparently offered a large chunk of (their incoming Frisch) cash on a NIQ back three player. Murray Kinsella (correctly) said we were pretty tom kite against Scarlets but felt we should be ensuring that Addison is s...

Well, bring him to his second home.

The good news is that I’m currently strolling around Prague Zoo in the sunshine with a refresh(ingly good value) Kozel.
The bad news is that I’ve figured out how to cast Premier Sports on to the big tele in the apartment….

Bit of a risk throwing izzy in at 6 but hopefully he will continue to show the upward trajectory he's been on. Don't expect us to win this easily given the fanfare the scarlets are making about players leaving and a decent set of half backs on show. A risk worth taking, I think. Looks like part of ...
