Re: PADDY JACKSON
Fair play to LI and the canny operator DK - they are now getting the benefits of sticking their head above the parapet signing PJ. PJ is absolutely motoring, available all season long. Playing that well the “media” are mentioning him and his Irish non selection. I’d love a competitive LI UR game at ...

Re: Contract Situation
Will be interesting to see what happens when end of contract occurs. I can easily see him spending next few yrs recontracted at LI & maybe a short spell in FR before retirement. Playing wise absolute nobrainer. Top Int quality FH available all season. Good to see he’s really enjoying his rugby again...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
Anyone heard anything re young TOTs development in camp specifically his scrummaging? The Ire scrum is looking v decent indeed, however IF TOTs scrummaging was decent, that could free up the option of Porter back to LH. A few ifs & buts admittedly however the idea of 60 mins of furlong & porter then...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
Simple questions: are JGP or BB gonna be in the top 5/6 players at 9/10 in the world? The clear answer is NO.....so frankly they need to be ditched. We need to be ruthless with provinces - Casey young Bryne Crowley Lowry at 10 etc.....too many blockers.
Too many “leaders” way way past their best.

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
I like Lowe, at Euro / league level. His advantages re carrying / kicking is obvious- he has obvious defensive flaws. Would I give him mountains of brad pitt & calls to discard him a la Stockdale?....no, but their are obvious work ons. The difference between Stockdale & Lowe is about 18 tries - JS i...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
Casey was never coming on the field with Ireland still in contention -- winning by 9 maybe losing by 9 maybe but with a penalty between the teams never -- it is a call which could make or break a young player -- he is either hero or villain with the latter the more possible. ....and there is the pro...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
I’d say to provinces: MM doesn’t get gametime over TOT re development. IF JJ Hanrahan / Murray omahony stops Casey Healy Crowley Coombes getting gametime u can pay your own overdraft. Young Byrne at Leinster gets game time......or we cut your central contracts by at least half. We have the playing t...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
I was actually pretty encouraged overall, what is needed now is courage from irfu. I too was really disappointed young Casey didn’t get 20 - feck the boxkick - jgp made several mistakes last qtr & should’ve been replaced - game in the air so Farrell didn’t have courage to back the kid. From the litt...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
The 9 & particularly 10 situation is ridiculous and has been poorly handled. The pace rises considerably when Murray goes off. Sextons body can’t handle more than an hour at Int Level. There should be an edict from IRFU that young promising halfbacks are given gametime ahead club stalwarts but who l...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021
As soon as the red was given it was game over. There wasn’t just the 14 men for 65 mins it was all the implications: POM is a lineout jumper adding pressure to ire, and taking pressure off a poor welsh lineout. We had no back jumper. Automatically lost henshaw from backline whenever we had a scrum, ...

Re: Contract Situation
LL surely retiring. I’d back there being enough cover with the pups available now to let Faddes go. Interesting to see how much financial pressure is part of the decision process.

Re: Contract Situation
ok gents, I don’t care at Rodney parade in the Pro14, I’m talking a Euro QF standard examination: we don’t have an adequate 8. Jordi / Reidy have done shifts however both are older now. We need a top 8, both are skilled flankers.

Re: Contract Situation
Wow, Carter signs for 2 yrs - surprised he fancied it to be honest.
Well I’m intrigued as to how that backrow balances out with Naka in there prob at 6. Suppose Jordi / Reidy / possibly Timoney to a lesser extent could feature at 8. Feels like we are an 8 short though.
