Re: He has a point

I wish they would halve or more the amount of time the kicker gets to take a kick. I also hate referees giving front row coaching lessons. If it goes down blow the whistle and give a penalty which the kicker has to hurry up with.

Re: A little bit of politics folks`

I don't think that celebrity candidates are the answer. You want someone who lives in the constituency, has been active in cross-community projects and has achieved some degree of credibility on the "other" side. Someone like that who people feel that they can trust and who has publicly st...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`

North Down should be a safe Unionist seat but in a hugely positive step has elected an Alliance MP. Wouldn't it be great if at the next election a safe Nationalist constituency reciprocated? And then after that, for somewhere like North Belfast? What an amazing step it would be for such a constituen...

Went to the Castle on my previous visit. It was good actually.
Finding something to do on a (probably) wet November Sunday in Limerick sounds like a tough ask. Netflix maybe?

A paradox. Back in the 80s the 50s seemed like ancient history so how come the 80s don't feel that long ago?

They got absolutely stuffed at home by Sale last Saturday, 7 - 41.
I haven't read a match report but Sale aren't top side by any means.

Re: Other teams support

This is a bit of a silly season topic, but interested to see if I'm a weird outlier - after Ireland what international sides do you cheer on? The reason I ask is that I recently said in a whatsapp group that I was cheering on England against NZ, and would also support them against either Wales or S...

Only passed through Glasgow once, dereliction and rubble, could have doubled for Stalingrad. Edinburgh is a jewel of a city.

From The Times April 22, 1919 To the Editor of The Times Sir, Will you give some space to one of the few Irish Protestants of the landowning class who has looked the Irish problem in the face from the close quarters of an Irish county council and come in contact with its backwash in the United Stat...
