Am I the only one who gets cheesed off with the number of times the coverage misses re-starts whether by kick, scrum or line-out because the camera is focused on an individual player or because one of the commentating team gives some analysis of a move? I pay my sub to watch live rugby, not to liste...

Johann Muller who knows what it takes to beat Leinster at the RDS said this evening on BBC newsline ‘Ulster to win by 2 points’.

Turns out the rumours were on the money after all [emoji30]. I think the best player I’ve ever seen at Ulster. I actually don’t have any hard feelings, I think he’s been homesick for quite a while and it all just came to a head during lockdown - he wants to go home to his family and start a family ...

Rumn, I will concede that even a stopped clock is right twice a day and that from time to time you do make valid points. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. I don’t often criticise a ref (publicly!) but that ref was an absolute shocker. I don’t think I have ever seen worse incompetence in over 60 years of playing/watching rugby. He should never ref again at elite level. Shocking!

So...from no Ulster starters last week to 5 starters this week...

Indeed. It’s disappointing that UR seems to lack the backbone to make a decision based on the clear legal position. Instead it folds before the opinion of ‘experts’ - opinion which appears flimsy in the light of published evidence. Oh wait...this sounds familiar...

So is the medical advice given to UR different to the medical advice given to the IFA?

One would like to see the evidence behind this decision. Thanks Carol.
