Re: Contract Situation

This might not be the right place to post this, but it doesn’t fit in the Rumours section. Ruan Pienaar was spotted last night in Holywood in the Dirty Duck. Of course maybe he’s just on holiday…

Re: The Decline of Ferris

It’s not about whether SF is right or wrong to post on X comparing formers players with current players. We all know we had some world-class players in the not too distant past. And we all know the current crop are nowhere near their level. Though we do have some very good players (eg Henderson, Her...

‘The IRFU and Ulster Rugby today confirm the departure of Jonny Petrie as CEO by mutual agreement. Kevin Potts, CEO of the IRFU, says: “The IRFU and Ulster Rugby thank Jonny for the five years spent with Ulster Rugby and wish him well, both personally and professionally, for the future.” An interim ...

🙂 I think you know the answer. DH the prime mover in signing RP and JM. Possibly also PW. Not so sure about JA.

2) Johann: true leader
3) Pedrie: underrated, understated, absolute rock
4) Jared: superb skills, red card notwithstanding
5) can’t decide between Nick and Marcel: excellent

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

“My understanding of Sopers current role is he is almost limited to coaching the attack of the unselected 15 to mimick the attack of that weeks opposition, when it comes to coaching team attack Dan McF is in charge.”

Very interesting post. If correct it says it all about DMcF.

Re: Ospreys away Sunday 18th Feb 3pm

I’m always loth to criticise, perhaps too much so. But that was shocking. What I can’t understand is the policy re selection and use of the bench. Why was Kitshoff not starting? Warwick strikes me as a decent LH but he’s no Kitshoff. Why was Cooney not in the squad? Why was Burns not in the squad? W...

Re: Injury Update

I think Moore should try lock down 15. Lowry has proven to be a defensive liability and lately hasn't been the attacking threat that he was 2 seasons ago. He's definitely not the backup 10 we hoped he'd be either. ‘lately…’ ? He’s hardly played at all this season so maybe that explains why he hasn’...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

Despite the way things went in the second half, on reflection I’m positive about how things are going. Young guys being introduced and given good exposure to tough opponents, and they are showing up well; Ewers, Timoney & McCann a good back row; Hume seems to have re-discovered his form; Kitshof...
