Re: #boibegin

Couldn’t give a feck about them anymore. World Cup was a borefest from FIRFU. For a fleeting nanosecond I even contemplated switching allegiance to England as I’ve been over here near 16yrs and kids are English. But then a shiver went down my spine. I’ll stick with one team, Ulster, no national team...

Re: Pro 14 2019/20

Bring the B&I league on - purely selfish point of view - means being exiled over here in Ingerland I can get to see them more than the odd HC away match. Seriously though. Would be great. South Africans still have Super Rugby and 4N. Italians should strike a deal with FRU to get into Top 14. 10 Celt...

Re: Ulster Vs Harlequins Sat 7th Dec @ 15.15 BT Sport

What you’re saying, Rum, is we need a more footballing playmaker at 12. Like a paddy Wallace type. There’s a decent young Irish and Ulster Qualified lad playing in France just the sort - at Brive I think.

Re: Ulster v Scarlets Fri Nov 29 7:35pm

Ulster on 🔥 🔥🔥 Someone must have knocked their Powerade over the 🔥 at half time... Impressive and ambitious first half, albeit against a considerably weakened scarlets, but faded away second half - happens quite often for my liking and they’ll get punished someday when it matters. BJ at 10 decent (...

Re: Ruan Pienaar

NIQ Fucifora. Step aside ballbeg. What drunk me off, and still does, is most of the southern brethren say it was the right decision as if it was either Cooney or Ruan. Why was there never discussion about room for both. Firstly the alleged held back IQ talent behind Ruan were never and never would e...

Phoned Ulster earlier today as seen the quins site is down for maintenance. Ulster allocation sold out but apparently Quins still have availability - site back up tomorrow.

Re: ULSTER MOTM vs Clermont

I’ll add that he deserves nothing less than the irish 9 jersey- best 9 in Ireland at present and probably last season too.

Re: ULSTER MOTM vs Clermont

The problem with Cooney is that the better he gets the closer he gets to starting for the FIRFU and that’ll mean half the season won’t be playing for Ulster - which means we’ll win nothing as there just simply is nothing at 9 behind him resembling a pro14 standard scrum half at the very least. Would...

Re: Bath v ULSTER MoTM?

Ludik - solid as a rock as always. Anymore and Nucifcuknose and the FIRFU would have probably shifted him on.

Re: Munster v Ulster Sat 5:15pm

Not one Ulster born player in the forwards. I couldn’t name a potential Ulster born pack that could stand a chance in a professional game. But yes at least one would be a nod. The system can produce a decent backline, so much so the FIRFU thought we had too big for our boots and got rid of 2, but r...

Re: Ulster v Zebre Friday 1st Nov 7:35pm

The problem about the band, as can be heard from watching on the bax from far afield, is that a large section of the crowd sing along or do the old ‘whooaawhooaaa’ stuff and encourage it. Hence doesn’t get picked up by the management as the embarrassment it is but rather seen as part of the whole en...

Shanners wasn't shyte
He does seem to have an uncanny knack of getting a try when we need one.
Which is probably the only reason he still makes a living as a professional scrumhalf. The basics of a 9 - quick, clean and smooth service - isn’t his forte.

Re: Japan RWC

If you shoot out of the line the way Stockdale attempts to do you need to be fully coordinated with the players around you. Look back at the way Cave and Trimble used to work together to shoot out of the line, Cave would pressure the passer with Trimble following him on the outside either getting t...
