Re: Autumn International squad

Very solid team, but far too conservative for a AI, especially the bench. Murray has only played 20 minutes this year, should be really be sitting on the bench with earls and POM

Re: Player movement

My own view is that I’d like there to be a directive that if you want to play for Ireland you need to be a starter/first backup in your position. Call it optics, or pure idealism but I don’t like that you can accumulate very few minutes for Leinster and still make the cut above your peers who play w...

Re: Whats everyone currently reading?

Thought Joe Marlers book was quite interesting. Less of a fan of Haskells though not terrible. Andre Agassi’s book is definitely worth a read.

I actually think McIlroy will turn out to be a real gem of a player, at full back or wing. Haven’t seen enough of Moxham but looks a good strong runner.

Re: United Rugby Championship

It’d be nice to get some accurate visibility on budgets. The numbers floating around are all over the show. I think i saw recently one of the Welsh articles having Leinster close to £13m, w/ Munster around 10/11 and Ulster 8/9.

Re: 2021 U20 6 Nations

Missed the game and haven’t been able to find any follow up here in the US. What happened with Humphrey’s?

Re: Rainbow Cup

In truth I think most ulster fans would be delighted with Synman or Jenkins coming in.

Stander is a big loss for them but Coombes is becoming the real deal. Front row still a little weak but I don’t think Munster are a million miles away; will be very dangerous next season.

Re: Rainbow Cup

An early red card usually would have been a game changer but sadly in this comp we’ll need Leinster to have about 5 of them to make a meaningful difference

Re: Rainbow Cup

I think having 7’s experience is a real plus but not year after year. If we want the likes of Sexton to be seriously challenging for a starting back 3 spot he needs games. I’d be really supportive of a loan move to the championship

Re: Rainbow Cup

I’m particularly envious of Connacht with Papali’i. Turning into quite the player and exactly what we need

Re: Rainbow Cup

I’d really like to see McCann more than anyone else. We’ve been hearing for quite some time that he’s an international in waiting and a part solution to Ulsters pack problems, but we’ve seen very little of him. If he doesn’t get a run in the next set of games I’d start to be concerned; it would have...

Re: Lions 2021

Interested to hear your take on Kelleher/Herring? I see another lions squad with Kelleher in it. I’ve seen a few now and a few where he’s been in the conversation but I’ve yet to hear Herrings name mentioned. I can’t see either of them going but I can’t understand the lack of Herring recognition whe...

Re: Lions 2021

I think Conor Murray is one happy camper after reading the Young’s announcement. I’d really love it to be Conney but just can’t see it. Murray, Williams, & one of Care, Davies, Price, & Conney imo.
