Re: Stormers v Ulster Saturday March 30th 5:15pm Viaplay Sports

I'd bite someone's arm off for a point. But tbf I'd also settle for the likes of McCann, Wilson, Sheridan to all have good games in a losing battle. And maybe for our backline to show some sort of positives. Feel like our best chance of a point is if they put 50 points on us before half time then p...

Re: Stormers v Ulster Saturday March 30th 5:15pm Viaplay Sports

Have a very bad feeling about this game. 😕 Is it treasonous to bet the mortgage on Stormers to put a cricket score on us?

Re: Sharks v Ulster Saturday 23rd March 1pm Kick Off Viaplay Sports

Relax guys we have signed a mediocre winger for next year. That's bound to solve our problems at 3,4,6,9 and 10.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I like him and I'm sure he will be popular but it's just such a weird signing. Who looked at our roster (and production line) and said, do you know what we need? A wing. Instead of a no 3,5,7,9 and most especially a 10. Those are all positions of almost, if not actual, crisis. But someone decided to...

Re: Ulster's finances

Munster are the defending champions so are a worthy scalp for the travelling team to test themselves against. Ulster are just ulster.

Re: Ulster's finances

I think there’s a lot of confusion around about Ulster / the IRFU / finances etc, leading IMO to this situation where while Ulster are definitely in a bit of a squeeze, it’s been blown out of all proportion, to the extent where I’ve been seeing people responding with surprise to the contract extens...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I heard a comment on tv I think, or maybe I dreamt it, that Ulster did not finish lower than fourth in the league in the six years Dan was in charge. Could someone with all the stats advise if that is true please? If it is true could fans say what level of performance they expect from the incoming ...

Re: Team for Dragoons

Are yous all related to doak? I can't for the life of me understand why yous are suggesting he is the great hope at 10. He has (kicking aside) been bang average at 9 (ie no better than weeP) and anytime he has played 10 he has been average to poor. I hope that's a coaching issue but I have my doubts...

Re: Team for Dragoons

Missed the game, worth watching it on catch up? Anyone stand out? Are we brill again? Conceding a TBP against the worst team to visit Ravenhill in a good while wasn't great First sane response on this thread. Dragons, god love them, were awful. Instonians would have comfortably beat them jesus chri...

Re: Contract Situation

I'll defer to you King on Postletwhaite.. however I've yet to see one of epiphany moments from him like we have with Moore, Lowry, PJ, SO etc when even as a cub we saw the latent talent surface. Maybe he needs a run at it. Is he inside centre primarily, or can he play 13 as well? He did have some e...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I think Ulster need to be bold and ditch the lads that aren't performing at the minute, or have spent more time on the physio table than on the pitch. Ewers might come good, but he may not. He has had limited opportunity granted, but we don't need another sick note in the squad. Remember Fat Nick's...

Re: Contract Situation

I'm assuming down to Competitions Management Committee is all about the amateur game, and those below are either professional and amateur, or both? Is there a Club Committee and a Clubs Committee, or is that a typo? If we have a finance committee, and A Robinson is an employee with the title Head o...

Re: Contract Situation

Go visit the Ulster website. Look at the photograph of some 48 Blazers with an average age of 70+. Put your hand on your heart and say " this is the future of Ulster Rugby". Do we need 48 of them? Oh congratulations to Ulster Rugby for putting a token female in the group. Rumn's comments ...

Re: Contract Situation

But for the" blazers " most rugby clubs would cease to exist most are volunteers unpaid who devote many hours to enable the game to exist at club level -- many are competent networkers but there are a few who are there for the ego trip. Post matches dinners are either paid for in advance ...
