Re: Petrie departs…..

Kingspan. The company has long said that its K15 insulation product made up only 5 per cent of the insulation in the tower block, and was used without its recommendation. There is a £150,000,000 redress settlement agreed by the 'guilty' parties. Kingspan's share....less than 3%. Apparently they info...

If Carre touched that ball with a forward motion it was a knock on regardless of where the momentum of the ball took it afterwards. The last 2 decisions were correct and the Cooney one looked wrong. I think i agree with all that. There is some doubt in my mind regarding CI’s timely intervention but...

As good as Izzys effort and endeavour was for the try saving tackle - it should have been a penalty try - you can't kick the ball out of someone's hands. Totally missed by officials, commentators and pundits He didn't. The Welsh guy lost the ball in the tackle and it then hit Izzy's lower leg. In o...

Where does the future lie?

Here are 52 representative under age players. They are a snapshot in time of our position in the supply and development of future players. It seems to be the same every year. Very few players. Out of the 52 guys, there are 6 Ulster players....11% of the total and only 3 in starting positions. Irelan...

Re: Bryn Cunningham in the Daily Telegraph - stop thinking about winning

The problem is exacerbated by the utter shambles that should transition young players into the sphere of the academy from clubs and less traditional as well as the traditionally strong rugby schools. Parochialism and amateurism is rampant. Promising players are turned off by being ignored, often for...

Irrespective of who we have as coach, if we have to rely on the quality of Lowry, Flannery and Doak at 10 we may as well disband.

Re: Contract Situation

In articles I see Cecil Watson's name appearing as far back as 2007. Loads of pictures of Cecil in his blazer as well! In 2003 I saw "The Ulster side, coached by Allen Clarke and managed by Cecil Watson, " - is that the same guy. Who exactly is he and how or why a 20+ year involvement? Wa...

Over the last 20 years or so we have rarely had a squad free of passengers. Far too often we have had great players supported by decent triers without the bit of stardust that elevates them to that special status. However the layer below these is littered with injured has beens, injured never were's...

That's because Dan doesn't know who Timoney is probably.

Did anyone watching at home see why the try Edinburgh scored after Ritchie did a bit of juggling was disallowed? From where I was standing I couldn't even understand why it was checked. Should have said as well, thought Treadwell was our best player, having the legs for that covering tackle so late...

Re: We need a ten, but we don't seem to know it.

I'd suspect we absolutely do know it, but there's just no chance of D4 sanctioning an NIQ 10. And for all BB's shortcomings, can you imagine where we'd be if we didn't have him? Why? All the other provinces have NIQ 10’s rated higher than ours. Leinster have 4,(Sexton, R Byrne, H Byrne, Frawley) Mu...

It really seems that Ulster won that game on the back of individual effort rathr than any discernable team strategy. 18 turnovers conceded. 26 missed tackles. Feck knows how many knocks on. Luke Marshall's injury was caused by DVDM face planting him with his lefty hand while Luke was on the ground. ...

You can buy cat milk. Don't put it in your tea.
You'd need a very small milking stool and tiny hands to get cat milk. :duck:
