12.8.2022. Phoenix/Centra ( Maxol) in Ballymena down now to 168.9.

Oil now at 94 dollars a barrel which is cheaper than it was before Russia invaded Ukraine. So reckon petrol should drop a bit more. Happy Days.

Have two fridges so have managed without a freezer for about 3 months but will probably head to Argos in Sainsburys ((H’wood) tomorrow for a new fridge freezer unless anyone is getting rid of one in the next 18 hours.

Sainsburys ( H’wood) 174.9 but Tesco ( K’nagoney) down a further 1p to 173.9.

Didn’t buy petrol at Killea. Currently Supporting the local Phoenix/Centra ( Maxol) in Ballymena which is down a further 2p to 172.9. Tesco (K’nagoney) finally getting its act together and is down a whopping 14p a litre to 174.9. But still 2p more than Phoenicia/Centra.

Today Tesco (K’nagoney) still 189.9. The Phoenix/ Centra ( Maxol) in Ballymena down a further 3p to 174.9. What on earth are Tesco’s playing at ? Cycle to Tesco’s for the Sunday Times but not paying 15p more per litre for petrol.

For the record, and Lest We Forget, The Phoenix/Centra is a Maxol petrol station and is at 14 Antrim Road, Ballymena. It has a good food selection inc freshly made ready meals ( yum yum) and is also handy for the Winemark store beside it at 12 Antrim Road. But do not drink and drive.

Definitely not following the price reductions by others, it’s Sainsburys (H’wood) at 188.9 and Tesco ( K’nagoney) at 189.9

Phoenix/Centra in Ballymena today was down three pence since last Friday to 177.9.

Phoenix/Centra in Ballymena 180.9 yesterday and the petrol station ( think Texaco) at bottom of Glenshane Pass 178.9.

Phoenix/Centra on Antrim Rd, Ballymena was a mere 185.9 yesterday and in Donegal prices have dropped 3 to 5 cents a litre since last weekend’s peak of Euro 219.9. Is the end in sight?

Tescos and Sainsburys in Ballymena are approx 400 yards apart so if a 6p a litre difference it’s worth doing. And you pass Sainsbury's ( noting the price) going to Tescos so if they are the same price one shops and fills up at Tescos. No petrol wasted.
