Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

I am not particularly political in any way but this signing worries me. I do not think that professional players should openly display any political beliefs when representing a club. This guy knew what he was doing and the reaction he would get when he chose to wear his shinner boots. Yet Ulster Ru...

Re: The Irish Language - Lets try & learn one word a week.

With the battle for the leadership of the Conservative Party well under way this week some of you may wish to know/learn that "Conservative" in Irish is "Coimeadach" but the slightly easier word to know/learn is "Tora" which is Irish for "Tory". And for those...

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

There is a play about sexual consent now touring Irish universities. You might be able to catch it in a university near you!

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

Frank i doubt if the employers had to tell them to keep their mouths shut given the reaction to Paddy's threat of court action and the media sh-t heaped on him. If they put their heads above the trench -- they would become the social media target of the week. Which is why I hope and prey the judge ...

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

I don't need behavioural/consent classes in my job. Sounds like empty platitudes and tom kite to me. Funny enough, a programme that has been run as a pilot scheme is now being rolled out in secondary schools (Transition Year subject). https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/overwhelming-...

Re: PADDY JACKSON

So they were binge drinking. Diageo sponsors education programmes to inform people of the dangers of binge drinking (dangers which include impact on judgement and decision making as well as health). For the record, more than 3 pints in a session is regarded as binge drinking. :banghead: ...

Re: PADDY JACKSON

Few cigarettes when out with friends, socialising. Usually with a pint. Alcohol companies educating about binge drinking is like cigarette companies educating about the dangers of smoking. It's a nonsense and only done to make themselves look better to people who can't work that out. Sent from my P...

Re: PADDY JACKSON

The had just arrived home after a flight or flights of over 12 hours duration — they were in an adrenaline high where the effect of alcohol would have been greatly reduced . I doubt greatly if their consumption during the rugby season would be anything like that of the night in question. The fact i...

Re: PADDY JACKSON

Since PJ and SO had been on tour with the Ireland squad I Doubt if they had much drink taken before the day they left SA. And considering they had two meals and their drinking was spread over 12 hours it was not a remarkable amount to consume . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you watch that v...

Re: PADDY JACKSON

Diageo sponsors the educational programme 'Smashed' in NI which promotes responsible drinking, PJ & his drinking buddies are hardly role models in this area. In 2016, we partnered with Collingwood Learning to deliver the Curriculum Council-endorsed ‘Smashed’ theatre education programme to 38 pos...
