Re: Saints v Ulster QF Saturday 8pm KO BT Sport 2

Any preference for the semi? Pubs will be open in England and grounds at 25% capacity afaik Suspect though that tickets will only be available to home fans, which is a pity. If so, it brings us back to home advantage meaning something again, even if not quite at the same levels as a full stadium I ...

Hearing SA sides are out of the Rainbow Cup. Pretty depressing if true.

Quote of Twitter. I'm fecking shocked.
Seemed like all was on a couple of days ago although no idea what the logistics were.

Re: Ulster in the Challenge Cup

No MOTM thread but I thought Billy was pretty decent. Defensively suspect though. A lot of talk about prince Phillip's passing but I think Billy's was good too. Herring, Jordi or big Stu for me. Cooney, Baloucoune and Marty Moore also v.good and Tredwell amongst others woke up in the 2nd half and c...

Re: Ulster in the Challenge Cup

He was brave carrying on and was pivotal a couple of times in the Stockdale try. A couple of decent kicks also. Defence was poor and not for the first time. Still think ulster need a better 10 to progress as a team. Unrelated, but I thought Ross Byrne played really well today when he had to come on ...

If this is how the beeb covers a lowly sort of royal, just imagine how it will be when Trevor Brennan joins the underground.

Re: Saints v Ulster QF Saturday 8pm KO BT Sport 2

Could prove to be the knock on that led to the first silverware in 15 years, subsequent world domination and a knighthood for Dan..... I could well be wrong but I can't think of any team bar Leinster in the last 10-15 years who have won this and then gone on to win either their domestic league or t...

Re: Saints v Ulster QF Saturday 8pm KO BT Sport 2

Blew it big time against Glaws.

I still have nightmares about Matty Rea charging like a bull at top speed to take a pass when a couple more short passes in the forwards would have done the trick.

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21

Depth at 10 is not really an issue for Ulster it is more about strength. I don't think mcphillips necessarily has the capability to go beyond Burns so can see why Ulster let him go. Ulster need a better 10 than Burns so I'd like to see Lowry given a decent run there in the rainbow cup. If that doesn...

Re: Rainbow Cup

Exactly. All this to get the SA teams over for 3 matches each. For that number of games they could have just stayed in SA and played each other again. No doubt there was a grander plan and then when that got diminished it was too late to reconstruct some of the pro14 season. The novelty of attending...
