We may have to revive the Silly Season Limerick Competition thread from 2017 at this rate......
There was a young player called Mads,
Who was into the latest fads,
Some took issue with his Shinner boots,
But most couldn’t give 2 hoots.

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

The message on sunday night around returning to work, whilst also saying avoid public transport and that workplaces needed to adopt social distancing measures.....all by monday morning, was pretty poor to be honest. Also, why do people have to wait until wednesday fir the exercise rules to be lifted...

Was Kempson a loosehead?
Yep.
Would have him ahead of Court then.

Re: RTÉ Best Professional era XV

For me D Humph would be ahead of Jackson in terms of what he delivered for Ulster and achieved overall. Sadly whilst Paddy Jackson may have surpassed him had things turned out differently if I look at actual performances then i would still have Humph ahead of him. I’d have Wallace at 12. He added so...

Re: Ulster rugby tight-lipped....

I hadn't seen the full post including the photo. Gilroy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed that's a known. I suspect he knew exactly what he was doing including the racial undertones and thought it was funny. McFarland should rip him a new one. He just hasn't got the message from what happened to ...

They say, keep politics out of sport. I disagree - it's part of sport. Here's an interesting article from a decade ago and some interesting links at the bottom of the page: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2010/jun/15/football-socialism-crack-cocaine-people I agree. If ever there was a cas...

Re: Jonathan Bradley

I understand that everyone should be following the rules because if people don’t then we end up with packed beaches, parks etc. However if Gilroy and his training partner were maintaining social distancing and not maybe not even going inside his house, then this really isn’t that newsworthy. There h...

Agree. If they can’t fit in the knockouts then don’t bother.

I find it hard to see a situation where they are only able to play 1 game.

Re: Munster v Ulster QF

Ulster had pretty good luck with injuries for most of the big games that season. From memory only Jared Payne was missing from the 1st choice xv against Munster and Terreblanche was a very able replacement. Bar Nevin Spece, the rest of the bench that day was a significant drop pff from the 1st xv so...

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

What has happened to Marcus Rea since he played that game last season against Leinster (i think). Also, Jones had a decent game against Leinster this season and doesn’t seem to have reappeared. Kane, McCall and Warwick have failed to impress, but given the need for numbers in the prop department it ...
