Re: URC: Ulster Rugby v Edinburgh Rugby Sat 2nd Dec 17:15

Was anyone genuinely even the slightest bit surprosed by Matty Rea's performance?

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

My concern remains how ulster handle the young guys if they do show real promise after giving them a few starts. Marcus Rea was 1st choice alongside DV and Timoney 2 seasons ago in a pretty strong ulster team which lost 2 tight knockout games. Last season he was sparingly used and looked to have con...

Re: Ulster v Lions

Bobby still pulling up short and not engaging in garryowens. Frustrating. My view is that he has learnt when to compete and when to wait for his opponent to land and then tackle him. He does challenge for the ball if he's up quickly enough to do so, but if he sees he can't challenge in the air, he'...

Re: 2023 world cup

Ox Nche is the business. Absolute salad dodger too. Wonder if he'd like Ulster fries? What a bench of talent SA have. Possibly the best I've ever seen His scrum pens basically won the qf and sf. Completely turned the tide in the Boks favour. Think the last one Vincent Koch won was maybe harsh on En...

Re: Zebre Parma vs Ulster Sat 21st Oct KO 13:00

What about a whip round to get Ox Niche as back up to Kitshoff?

Marty and TOT will do at TH. Hooker fine. That would be the front row sorted.

Re: Zebre Parma vs Ulster Sat 21st Oct KO 13:00

Given the Ulster (lack of) defence, there is still plenty of time to blow this lead.

Addison on the field again is a bonus. Will happily see him get a few games under his belt , as understandable he is well off the pace after so long out, particularly given the kind of game he plays.

Re: Zebre Parma vs Ulster Sat 21st Oct KO 13:00

Selection looks to me like everyone fit will end up getting a run put in the first couple of games. Propping stocks are pretty threadbare without Marty, TOT and Kitshoff. Matty Rea doesn't have the skills for the backrow (shame it took the coaches about 80 caps to figure this out). Have thought befo...

Re: 2023 world cup

Bringing a 53 year old Duane Vermeulen back on....is that the conspiracy? Is this Duane Vermeulen the same Duane Vermeulen who used to hang about the pitch while others were playing rugby in Ravers. He seems to be twice the player that the other one was. That's harsh. He can still do a good job foc...

Looking forward to seeing Will over in Parma.

Fingers crossed that the lad gets to enjoy the rest of his career injury free.
Well if he gets injured in Parma it will probably be his HAMstring

Re: 2023 world cup

Stockdale, Frawley and Prendergrast look like missing out.

Don't think Baird has been used as a lock yet which may mean that Hendy will make the bench for the big games.
