Re: Scarlets v Ulster Saturday May 11 3:05pm KO Premier Sports UK 1 / Premier Sports Ireland 2 / Super Sport / URC TV
I thought McCann, McCloskey, Stockdale, O’Sullivan and Timoney were our best performers. Herring, French, Izzy, Cooney, Burns, Lowry were OK. McIlroy needs to be shown how to kick and move to full back as he’s no winger. McCloskey needs to try that hard every game - not at 75% as Shanklin said. I wa...

The performance changed when McCloskey began to stir himself - but too many doing less than they could - still think Ulster will win.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Why would we consider Harry Byrne ? Why would Leinster let him go if he was any good ? And what can he do better than Billy Burns? Goalkicking probably, but we already have two better than him.

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.
I don’t agree that it was “an almost catastrophic slump” against Leinster. Leinster played an international pack that day and they moved up several gears in the second half - I can’t think of any club side (outside the top half dozen in Europe) who might have withstood that pummelling. It is almost ...

Leinster is one cynical shower - professional fouls now the rule.

Yes, would go with that but is he fit? Looked a bit overweight last time he played.

I don’t understand why Lowry is at fullback with McIlroy on the wing - wrong way round surely.

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.
I heard a comment on tv I think, or maybe I dreamt it, that Ulster did not finish lower than fourth in the league in the six years Dan was in charge. Could someone with all the stats advise if that is true please? If it is true could fans say what level of performance they expect from the incoming h...

Re: Autumn Internationals 2024
If correct, that’s good news as I never liked watching on Amazon.
On a similar topic can anyone shed light on the URC contract with Viaplay? As I understand it Viaplay sold their sports coverage back to Premier Sports effective 2024. It’s 2024 now but I’ve heard nothing.

Strange the replacement wasn’t mentioned yesterday by Varadkar - anyway, Blackett my choice, and for me McNamaras banned.

Re: Contract Situation
I think Shanahan is our best SH (non goalkicking that is) - everything gets speeded up when he comes on. Burns has been far from our worst performer this season but IF we are going to get a good replacement ( as nobody else at the club is good enough) then OK. Sad about Luke - he reminds me of Johnn...

Re: 6 Nations 2024
My God, France were awful and were outplayed just about everywhere. International centres? I’d sooner have Stu and Hume? 2nd row? Sooner have had Ulster’s. Totally embarrassing defence.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
I see there’s some doubt over the future of Mako and Billy Vunipola at Saracens. Given the level of dislike of all things Saracen on this site, would you be in favour of them having contracts with Ulster, if the NIQ nonsense was gone? Supposing they had not played for England and were free?
