Re: Semi Final Edinburgh v Ulster Sat Sep 5 7:35pm

Great win for Ulster and even better because it looked unlikely through much of the game.

Madigan showing his balls of steel. Happy for him to be able to show again his high class kicking under pressure. I'd say he'd love a chance to do something similar in the final.

Re: Munster 2019/20

That was a tough watch. It was always going to be an uphill battle to beat Leinster and Munster made it harder with so many silly errors. JJ may have an impressive goal kicking record for the season but he remains a guy you could not trust in a high pressure situation. The only thing worse than the ...

Re: What makes you happy

I see Fleggory is at it again. Yesterday, Mr Campbell referred to a programme on BBC Northern Ireland about a suspected German spy who had lived in Donegal during the Second World War, and was reported to have spoken Irish with a German accent. "I vill not be tempted to ask vot is dis curried yoghur...

Well after many years of pain and false dawns Leeds are finally heading back to the Premier League. Marching on together.

Good on you Mike for this thread but would phonetic spellings accompanying the Irish be a possibility? I'm sure I can make a fair stab at pronouncing 'stampa'. Not so confident about 'dleacht'.
The "dl" is a bit of a ballix but pretty much d'locked stompa. :D

I watched that press conference for a while, Shan, but had to turn it off. It was just so embarrassing. I've turned a cringed at a few before, but that was the worst.
Agreed Solids. Dreadful stuff and worse than that is adding negative value.

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

It like everybody blames the Government -- but fails to recognise how intentions become warped in the Bureaucracy . Take privately run care homes -- they are responsible from their own purchasing policies -- and have their own suppliers -- yet it is the Governments fault ( or they like to make it t...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Shan The USA is like no other country on earth (politically ) with central and State Governments - with States trying to maintain independence from the centre with the smaller states using their influence centrally to try and exploit the richer states -- only thing the central Government has clear ...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Rum - I'm not Trump bashing. I am talking about the U.S and its attitudes. It is quite content to allocate hundreds of billions into arms, and that is the primary reason why U.S Tax Rates have risen over the last century, but cannot or rather will not re-deploy some of that spending into more worthw...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Talking about shameless - US President Donald Trump has defended his response to the Covid-19 outbreak, and said he did not intend to fire his administration's leading expert on the subject, who had said earlier mitigation efforts could have saved more lives. At a press conference last night, Mr Tru...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

An Irish man has been questioned by gardaí as part of an international investigation into what is described as a sophisticated €15m Covid-19 scam. The investigation was launched when German health authorities made an upfront payment online of €1.5m for face masks, only to discover the website adver...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Testing sufficiently is absolutely desirable - France has a worse testing rate than the UK and has a considerably higher death rate just using official figures while Germany has 3x the testing rate and less than 1/4 the death rate of the UK. Netherlands took a similar initial approach to the UK, now...
