Since our last post the quote for taxis from the Stade back to Old Lyon now range from 85 - 93 Euros because of the time of night ... it could even go higher. On the CSBJ fanzone site it is estimated at around 150 Euros which may be closer to reality. We have decided to stay for the night in Bourgoi...

Darkside - last train back to Lyon [Part Dieu] leaves Bourgoin at 23.09 and we're told the Stade is some 15 minutes walk from Bourgoin station so it would be possible to connect if no great stoppages and exit is rapid from the Stade. We haven't found any bus service so we have accepted the fact that...

Sorry, Aarons - Munster site said 55+km, but mappy says more like 45km. However, staying and eating in Lyon could be the high point of the weekend, considering how the season is going..

60+km .. after 23.30 .. what would you think the taxi fare would be?

We are 3 seniors and will be staying in Lyon before and after the match at Bourgoin. We have just discovered there are no trains back to Lyon after 23.00 ... is anyone else in the same predicament...has anyone resolved this problem. Perhaps we could pool resources.?
