Re: World Cup News

Thought Rory was immense today. His presence over the ball to win a penalty when Ireland were under pressure in the 1st half was not just technically good but brave bordering on reckless. Tremendous stuff. Ref Madigan - in the 1st half with 20 seconds remaining on the clock he kicked out on the full...

Re: Nevin Spence Centre and Stadium Tour

I went on the tour about a fortnight ago. I was impressed - the Nevin Spence centre is a fitting tribute to the young man. The painting of him by his sister is stunning. There is interactive stuff for the kids, and loads on the history of Ulster rugby and what it takes to be a modern professional pl...

Re: Dragons - Round 17 Sun 4pm at Dave Parade

Ulster were beyond awful. Clueless, poorly coached and, most annoying for me - playing with no pride or aggression. I am still angered by the dross served up today. No-one played well but our 'go to' man - RP - has not been the same since he injured his knee last year. In fact, IMHO - he hasn't had ...

Re: RIP Jack Kyle

Never saw him play live so had to rely on the stories of my father and grandfather. An Irish and Ulster sporting legend for sure but, in any interviews I saw of him, I was struck by his humility. Away from sport his selfless work in Africa touched thousands of people and is a measure of the man. RIP...

Re: Ireland v Oz

If D'Arcy is past it ( and I think he is by some distance) then POC is a revelation for his age. He was phenomenal today - and against SA (17 tackles & no misses in that game). The man defies logic & is indispensable to Ireland.

Re: Date and KO Time for Connacht Home Game Confirmed

I did not get a second email and due to a delay in people getting back to me could not book tickets until today. Is there a correct link anyone can post/PM me? So far, the link on the original UR email allows me to buy a post Christmas bundle only. It does not allow me to buy additional tickets fro ...

Re: Tigers vs ULSTER - Live updates

Cockatrice hits the nail on the head- Ulster are consistently bad at playing the ref, influencing the ref and interpreting the ref. In many ways Ulster need to grow up.

Re: Tigers vs ULSTER - Live updates

Don't really know what to think about that..... collectively awful and all that was very good last week was tom kite tonight yet we escape with an LBP. PJ was a major concern for me tonight - he looked disinterested. His charged down conversion beggared belief. I only hope that the players give them...

Re: Stephen Ferris Retires - Official

Very sad for the big man. He was an immensely gifted player who was prevented from reaching his full potential through injury. He never really had a decent run after injuring his knee for the Lions. Had he stayed fit he was a certain test starter - his 2 tries on that tour are still scarcely believa...

Perhaps Anscombe looks as if he has been on the lash precisely because he has been on the lash. Just saying.

Re: John Afoa Leaving

For me, Afoa is the most disappointing signing of recent years. He is immensely talented and I loved watching him in his first season. He was immense - mobile, aggressive, technically excellent at scrum time. A model for any young prop. His time with Ulster has descended into disinterest on his part...
