Re: Backrow for Tigers?

I do not understand why we would play anyone other than Wilson at 8. Whether he has a dip in form or not, I fancy he will really be up for next week & produce the goods. Also, our scrum might creak. Wilson's control at 8 could be crucial in securing our setpiece ball. as for Hendo coming in for ...

Re: Pool Decider: Welford Road

Snipe is spot on about the backs. Luke has been disappointing to say the least. He is being used as a crash bang merchant (and not a very effective one) and his passing is sometimes dreadful. I do have a certain amount of sympathy for him as he can only play the calls made however.... Gilroy seems t...

Re: Backrow for Tigers?

Diack, Henry, Wilson.

Nick was a liability last night. He do hasn't had enough opportunities to displace Robbie.

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster V Montpellier A

+ve: Henry, Best & Muller back Trimble was good under high ball Win Good to see change in tactics although the execution of our kicking game was poor. We just relied on them making mistakes. -be: Flat, lethargic performance Ball retention- some awful, forced passes that just played into their de...

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster V Munster

Positives: Defence (less the try in 1st half) Munster rarely troubled us Scrum - Rolland was OK in general but his reffing of the scrum was a mystery. Like most refs TBH Return of Chad & Hendo. The former made areal difference Character to hold on at the end and prevent them getting the losing B...

Re: How did Roland perform?

That is typical of Munsterfans.... I was livid with Rolland watching the game but on watching the replay last night I thought he wasn't that bad. Pleased that he told POC to go away & keep quiet in 1st half as he wasn't Capt. POC didn't stopped chirping at the ref all night. Surprised he ...

Re: John Afoa

I knew he was going - but to England? Disappointed at that. I truly hope it isn't Sarries but I am prepared for more disappointed on that front. However, I wish him well. At his best, he was the one of the best props I have seen in the modern era. It was a privilege to have seen him at Ravenhill. Hu...

Re: Injury Update

Yes, that is a distinct possibility. What really boils my pi$h though is that after the AI we are without Henry (Still disturbingly little news on his progress), Rory Best and Tommy Bowe. For what? :banghead: :red:

Re: Injury Update

At the minute we don't know how long he is out for - 4- 12 weeks depending on reports, but lets hope he is a quick healer. Herring impresses me and could do a job in most games but I agree - we need Rory for Welford Rd. Our injury woes are shocking -whether for Ireland or Ulster, hardly a match goes...

Re: Ireland v. New Zealand

The Beeb pundits were praising Owens the rafters after the game. He was consistent all game and does have a good rapport with players. In fairness, Ireland should have looked at the NZ v SA game and known what he was going to be like. he does seem to ref with the 'spirit' of the game in mind. If I a...
