Re: Schools Cup

COngratulations DHK. I am ex BHS but the better team won today - no doubt. BHS lacked real spark and the hadling & decison making was poor. I haven't seen them play beore this season so I don't know how much of that was down to nerves.

Good luck to Regent in the FInal.

Re: Positives and Negatives: Ulster Vs Scarlets

Great result - the first half was almost flawless. Positives: Set peice - scrum & line out excellent. Matt McC - I thought he was immense especially visible in defence when we looked like creaking in the second half. Ball retention - superb. Discipline - good throughout save a silly over the top...

Re: Simon Best to retire.

Agree with you Bells & earlier poster about presenting the jersey - it would be a good call.

Not an unexpected announcement but a sad day nonetheless. Thank you SImon for all that you did for Ulster & Irish rugby. Good luck adn good health for the future. :salut:

Re: Ireland vs Baa Baa's

I thought the success of the fixture and the response of the crowd at the Ireland/Italy game at Ravers firmly put the debate/rant on flegs etc in the shade. Like all supporters I have my own view, which I won't get into here for fear of turning it into a political forum. This is a real sla...

Re: Brian Moore - love him or hate him?

Love him! and I have come around to Eddie Butler as well. Moore is biased but at least he is knowledgable, passionate and direct. Andy Nichol is dreadfully biased towards Scotland and sometimes osunds as if he is about to burst into tears. IMHO, Jonathan Davies is a class apart in his analysis and c...

Thanks for the correction - I was thinking the postponed Munster game gave us one in hand. Still feel confident though!! :thumleft: :red:

Re: Some ponderables from last night

Scrummage -the 'Reggie effect' hasn't kicked in - but it is early days. A couple of early Ulster scrums were awful. The tactical kicking, little of it as there was, as well as the line kicking, was poor. Agree with Gerry O' that they seemed to force the last pass but when have we seen Ulster from 1-...

Re: Team announced

Hope TB has a good game although past form would suggest otherwise. It's up to him to prove us doubters wrong I suppose.. Good selection in the pack less JH & Pollock. It is our best balanced back row for some time though but it is hard to see Ferris (great to see him back) lasting the full 80, ...

Re: The Darkside is no more...

Another poster forcibly evicted from the 'offical' forum. What is going on with UB? Talk about cracking a sledgehammer with a nut... ban the disruptive few; collective punishment for those sensible, knowledgable loyal Ulster supporters is not the way ahead. Lots of ground to be regained by UB. Lookin...
