Re: MURPHY WATCH

Planet Rugby comment on the Brumbies pack Murphy can't get into: 91% and 75% - the best scrum (Lions) and the worst (Brumbies)... On the flipside, it's surprising to see the Brumbies finish bottom in this area by some way - eight percent to be exact. Stephen Moore's absence can be pinpointed but the...

Wow, I wasn't expecting that Anscombe would actually go and certainly wasn't expecting Les.

Re: European Rugby Champions Cup Draw

I hope they have the sense to make it simpler next year with the 3 league winners and the ERCC winners as the top 4 seeds with dispensation that if ERCC winners also win their league that either 2nd in their league or runner up in final is 4th seed.

Re: European Rugby Champions Cup Draw

Best case scenario: Castres, Glasgow, Ulster , Treviso Can't happen! Correct as it seems now, no more than 2 of any league in and group and further defined as no 2 of the same country of the PRO12 teams in any group so Ulster, Munster and Leinster will be in different groups Ah, fair point. A trip ...

Re: Ulster's Money

Agreed Russ but what will all the glory hunters and the buying success brigade do.....or maybe they could build another stadium in Fermanagh and play 4 games a season in it to spread the brand.... :stir: Some chube on bakebook wrote "Wouldn't see that at musgrave" In response to UR sellin...

Re: Kingspan Stadium

Who cares - we'll all still call it Ravenhill and it means more money to fund the team.

Given it will still be know as Ravenhill by fans I'm surprised Kingspan didn't have the sense to acknowledge that in the name ie "Kingspan Stadium at Ravenhill Rugby Grounds"

Re: John Andress

Perhaps an Ulster contract wouldn't be enough to pay Caldwell's tattoo artist or maybe he's in the Andress bracket:

Re: Luke Pearse...

I think you are wrong on 1. IF and only if he thought the try was still scored, then the only reason for a penalty try would have been if he thought that the try would have been scored closer to the posts if it were not for the infringement. As Paddy was already diving, clearly this wasn't the case...

Re: Next Ulster Coach

Does anyone remember the champagne rugby we played in the first 4 - 5 months after MA took over? What's gone wrong? Does anyone remember George Hook lauding Luke Marshall as the best footballing 12 in Ireland and the future of Irish back play? Did Tommy get a pass tonight at all? Has GP been progra...

Luke Pearse...

only got two decisions wrong: 1) He should have awarded a penalty try regardless of the fact Paddy touched it down after being clotheslined. 2) He binned the Ruddock when it was clearly Kirchner at fault. (Kirchner first pushed Ruddock into Bowe in the air, and then turned his back on him as he fell.)

Re: A review of Props at Ulster

McAlister off to France? He hasn't played for us for years so not a huge loss. I quite like how Warwick has looked in his limited time so far at loose head and it was good to hear that John Afoa really rates him. I'd remind you that Paddy Mac had HEC Q/F experience against Stains, and held up quite...

No apparently about it, deals done.
