Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster V Dragons
I listened to the interviews of Ulster players pre game on Friday and they were of the opinion that they were much fitter than last season. I'm sorry to say that it didn't show on Sunday because they looked out muscled in most areas. It must be obvious to all of us that we can't compete for the glam...

Re: Test Number 3!
You have got to be kidding mate. Start with the same side as played on Saturday, unless injuries force a change. The Lions had the Springbocks hammered in the scrum and up front. For a change, uncontested scrums suited them better than us. Until the injuries we had them well and truly beaten. BTW Fo...

Re: Setanta goes into administration
Awe common guys. The Beeb may not be perfect but it's miles ahead of crap UTV when it comes to rugby. UTV sport only wants to know about sectarian GAA.
That curly haired tw@t on UTV never mentions rugby unless the Ireland team win.

Re: Johnny foreigners
As much as we all like to think that pulling on an Ulster shirt is a privilege, to our professional foreign imports and some locals it is a job. The best way we can all instill a pride in the jersey is by our passionate support for the team. This will mean screaming and shouting our support for them...

Re: Expectations 2009/10
Well said Bart. Any new coach is taking over a side with (apart from number 10) a good squad of players. There should be no excuses when it comes to the squad. I would like to think we can make Ravenhill a fortress again and betwwen the team and us as supporters, give any visiting side a torrid time...

So what is McG's record with the Ulster under 20's? I'm not being sarcastic, I really do not know.

Re: The plot thickens
Good luck to the guy maybe a mediocre manager can get more out of the mediocre signing at number 10 we made. If you look back at my posts I think you will see that I reckoned Ian Humph was never what we needed and hoped to eat my words. My words still remain undigested. I will still support the team...

Re: The plot thickens
It depends on what you consider to be time? They are not taking over a rubbish team as we have some really good players. I would have been happy to give MW until the end of next season and then expected a playoff place. So I reckon a mid to top table position is a realistic goal. If the coach (whoev...

Re: The plot thickens
Damn right we are supporters as our money goes to support the team. I will not boycott games but if I think what is happening is wrong I will voice my opinion. As someone who pays to watch, that is my right. Believe me I hope I am proved wrong. I hope I have to eat humble pie and if Ulster are succe...

Re: The plot thickens
I'm quite happy with him to be honest. It's all very well for people to want a world class coach, but we don't have the resources to pay for one, and even if we could secure ones signature they'd probably sod off again at the first sniff of a better job. McGloughlin has had nothing but sucess in am...

Re: The plot thickens
What a bunch of no hopers the UB are, if they sign a bloody schools rugby coach. Speeks volumes for the future of our team. Ferris, Best, BJ, etc etc get out while you can boys because this lot are going to take you nowhere.
It's great to see that amateur rugby is alive and well at Ravenhill.

Re: Trophies for Ravers
TBH this just reflects the amateur approach of the IRFU and Ulster rugby. When we one the CL I fully expected to see the trophy presented to us all at the next home match. Did we see it? Did we buggery. I also expected some kind of civic reception in Belfast for the Ireland team and trophies. Did we...

Re: What Ulster Lack??
No one can take away the fact that MMc took us to our only recent silverware. No matter what anyone says we played some good rugby that year and fully deserved our win and thanks to MMc for giving us that. The problems seemed to start when we tried to play the same game in the following year. It loo...

Has this guy at at my work yesterday. http://www.realfathersforjustice.org/news/ A really nice bloke and I fully support his reasons for doing what he's doing plus he gave us all a really good laugh. Best of all was when the H&S person asked him how he got up there. He just pointed to his cape. ...
