SA sides all have mostly home games left also.
I can see 3 SA sides in the top 8. The Edinburgh and Ospreys losses will come back and bite us.

In the second half sharks has a tight 5 that included Bonambi, Etzebeth, Nche and Kok. Those 4 players played in the World Cup final and took the All Blacks, French and English tight 5s to the cleaners in the 2nd half of each round.

Wilson will solve the problem at 3, Sheridan at 4 or 6.
I think this is turning out to be a development season for Ulster. A lot of young guys gaining a lot of exposure to regular professional rugby.
Only one way we can go from here.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Don’t think there were many stand out Ulster players this year. Lost all their interpro games.DodgyEverything wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 12:10 pm Good going from those 3 lads to get involved. Is it a sign of Leinster school strength, or lack of from Ulster that sees only 3 selected?

Re: Ulster in SA
Ulster need to be targeting at least one win.
Sharks are 16th in the table for a reason. No doubt we’ll make them look like Richie McCaws All Blacks though.

Re: Ulster's finances
Deraless - valid point. Personally, I wouldn’t be comfortable about parking in either Anderstown or the Shankill for a nighttime or evening match. but a major difference between rugby and GAA and their respective jerseys, is that Ulster rugby don’t have any tournaments or grounds named after Paramil...

Re: Ulster's finances
Exactly. Don't get me wrong though, it's disgusting that they are going to spend as much as they are on it, from the public purse. They should get what Rugby and Football got (adjusted for inflation). Then the GAA have to find the rest. They can when it suits them. To in one breath say there's no m...

He usually plays on the other wing to Stockdale.
It’ll be Baloucoune’s place under most risk.

Re: Ulster's finances
I see Munster are due to host a select All blacks XV at thomond park this November. This season they’ve played a friendly vs South Africa ‘A’ and Harlequins, and now they booking fixtures for next season. How come, given Ulsters financial struggles, are Ulster rugby not hosting these exhibition matc...

What about James French and Greg NcGarth, our two most recent signings on professional contracts? Or Dave Ewers?

Re: Bryn Cunningham in the Daily Telegraph - stop thinking about winning
What's the point then Bryn? It's not an old boys club. He should be sacked Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk He’s completely clueless. A lot of poor decision making from Ulster rugby over the past several years can be traced back to him. He was never a leader as a player and he’s certainly not a ...
