Re: Ulster in Financial Trouble

Seen Shanners a couple of times in Belvoir Park recently in nornal leisure garb. Likewise, Cooney and a few others exercising their mutts on different occassions.

A 2 leg QF. That sounds crap.
Rarely works well in rugby.

It seems the Swiss Nigels (EPCR) have finalised the format for the 2020/21 H Cup, lots of press speculation etc. 24 sides with 8 weekends v normal 9. 8 groups of 3, 2 legged QF, one leg SF and Final etc.
As quarter finalists, I wonder if we might be seeded?

Re: Target date for Pro14 restart 22Aug

Thanks for the dates. The talk on the podcasts is that the squad will be the squad you have for next season. So players could end up playing in the competition that weren't there at the start and other players could miss out. For instance Rob Kearney has signed an extension to his contract to take ...

Re: Target date for Pro14 restart 22Aug

What is the situation with squad eligibility for the European competitions? Surely some of the players nominated initially may be out of contract or contracted to another club when this all resumes?

Are there dates for the Pro14 Semi finals and final yet?
Both semis on 5 Sep

Final on 12 Sep

It's a lot of ko rugby in a very short space of time for any teams involved in both competitions.

Seeing as I have so much time on my hands at the minute I thought I'd make a donation at the sperm clinic.

The girl asked me to masturbate in the cup.

I said "f*!# me! I'm pretty good but I don't think I'm ready for. a competition!"

Re: Target date for Pro14 restart 22Aug

I wonder if we will be allowed to travel by then as there really shouldn't be a problem getting some sort of crowd into Murrayfield? I understand that there are other logistical problems but we'll have to see what state of lockdown we are in at that moment The Scots are being ultra-cautious compare...

That’s worked out nicely for Ulster. A semi-final against Edinburgh would be one you’d have to fancy our chances in.
Indeed. No problem Social Distancing there... haha.
They got 27k for the home derby but average about 5k for the other home Pro14 games.

Re: Target date for Pro14 restart 22Aug

We’ll do well to blow a 9 point lead over Glasgow over two games. Cheetahs can’t catch us. 2 match points needed IF Glasgow max out in 2 games v Edinburgh. I would hope we are good for a Semi Final spot. The chat is of a 24 team Heineken Cup for 20/21 so the qualifers would be Leinster, Ulster, Gla...

True but the conditioning and form of the returning teams is something of an unknown. Good pitches and a bit of ring rust could also lead to a few TBPs.

Willie Thorne loses his last wager. Always really sad to see a fine sportsman ruined by gambling. Of course any life ruined like this is a tragedy. I'm afraid my blood runs cold when I see the tv full of gambling ads and sports teams sponsored by bookies. Likewise. Dennis Taylor told a story of how...

If there is some sort of membership for tkt access next season, it should at least be complimentary for those who have donated their unused ST credit.
