Re: Petrie departs…..

I'd rather have this guy than have Cunningham get promoted. At least he's a fresh face around the place. Yes. As yet we have no reason to dislike him which already puts him well ahead of the alternatives. In my experience the big private sector organisations tend to be as incompetent as most civil ...

Rose Dugdale

Bit of a coincidence seeing as only yesterday we were discussing that other British establishment Ra member, Sir Roger Casement.

Re: Ulster's finances

That Casement was an interesting character. For a fella evidently keen on a sausage, I suppose it was inevitable that having turned his back on the British banger it was cosying up to the Kaiser that would turn out to be the wurst of his crimes…. Ballymena Academy man. Incredibly interesting life s...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Surely it was the downward pressure that caused that ball to scoot backwards after it hit the ground. That was a nuts decision imo. I thought it was a knock-on by Scotland. Anyone think Finn Russell could just as easily have been sin-binned (or worse) for leading with a stiff forearm when the clash...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Ireland won a couple of "Championships" in between the slams.

Does anybody remember them? No.

The Jocks on the other hand will act as if they've won the RWC if they secure the triple crown.

Wonder did we ever unknowingly meet in Durham Street, before we eventually met at Ravers?
Probably not. I was only in Durham St a couple of times before they relocated to the new unit in the City Hospital. Dr Scally was in charge when I was a regular.

My wife is always complaining that I'm tight with money so yesterday, to surprise her, I treated her to afternoon tea. It was very exciting as she had never given blood before ... SPOILER ALERT First time donors get a cold drink. (at least they did when I gave my first pint back in 1977) I'm on abo...

Re: New Signing - Werner Kok

Stats aside, one could argue that Kok is the living embodiment of our new ‘three pillars’ of energy, enjoyment and competitiveness. He never stops, has had a bit of craic with East Terrace and knew he’d have to be the fittest bloke in the squad to make up for being a short Brennan. Would you want y...
