Re: The Anscombe Plan Starting to Unfold

More generally, great guns so far under Anscombe - I thought the first few results were good, but was a little disappointed by a lack of invention in the backs, but got the feeling that it was a matter of time before things clicked, which they very definitely did on Friday.. I re-watched the match o...

Re: The Anscombe Plan Starting to Unfold

excellent post Buck - and like I mentioned on the 'apology' thread, Williams is still settling in at Ulster, and trying to impress, over the course of the season there will be pretty stiff competition for places in the back row, and I'd say that even if the coaches don't have a word and tell him to ...

Re: Top of the league + a game in hand?

Looking at the upcoming league fixtures: through to the end of Nov, 2 at home, 3 away; home games against Connacht and Edinburgh, 2 decent sides, but with respect, I will be disappointed if Ulster lose any games at home this season; away games against the current bottom 3 in the league (Dragons, Zeb...

Re: Munster 2012/13

Munster were pretty woeful this match - they had started the competitive season better than I had expected, but came a bit of a cropper here. Lightweight back row totally struggled to keep pace, scrum under pressure with Archer at 3, and ROG kept up, or rather down, his awful form at the end of last...

Re: A heartfelt apology to Nick Williams

All you ejits who were badmouthing Nick before his arrival. Here is your chance to do the decent thing.......... Re: Cardiff Blues v Ulsterrrrrrrrrrrrrr Live Updates

Is that a BP win against Leinster? Flipping heck! Should we be worrying!! Yes it is, but no we shouldn't. We've reached the stage where we don't worry about the opposition ..... THEY worry about US! What the man says!! Leinster were rubbish, Connacht good, but with all respect we will have a 100% h...

Re: Cardiff MOTM

Nobody has mentioned Henry - I thought he was outstanding, slowing ball in defence, speeding it up in attack.. I thought we had standout performances tonight by Williams, PJ, and Wallace, but Henry is my MOTM..

I just got a text from Tanu from Monza rugby club, who some of you will remember from the away trip against Aironi last year:

Re: How To Honour Nevin

Some of the interprovincials have trophys as far as I can remember from years ago ? Perhaps the Ravens v Munster fixture should be held each year for a trophy in his name ? In addition part of the takings for the day or a collection at the gate could be sent to the Ulster Farmers Union charity appe...

Re: Is this true?

I remember hearing great things about this kid spence coming up through the age grade ranks, and checking out his profile on the academy site, and thinking to myself, is it really this kid they're talking about?? It was just a head-shot and his face looked so young! Then a couple of years back mike ...
