Re: Irish Squad for Autumn Internationals

If they're not selected for match day do they usually get released back to their province - injury dependant of course? So potentially TC, Big dan and PJ would be back to play Rabo for us? Not that I would not want them to be selected for Ireland you understand. I'd like to think all three will be ...

Re: Ulster vs Cardiff

Hope we put out as strong a team as possible. Cardiff will be on a psychological high after beating Toulon and will be well up for it. They have a few Lions in their team though they are surrounded by journeymen and Cuthbert is out. Still - Halfpenny/Patchell alone can win games with the boot if dis...

Re: Montpellier vs Ulster

The dust has settled. Ulster had a fantastic win in Montpellier. The team played superbly and totally deserved the victory. I am just bringing up this one little point out of interest to see what others may think. It makes no difference one way or another at this stage. Has anyone thought there was ...

Re: MOTM VS Montpellier

Agree with Baggy about Darren Cave - the Conrad Smith equivalent in the Ulster team. All the lads stood up today. Fair play to each and every one of them. Magnificent victory. Wouldn't you love to be in Montpellier tonight.

Re: Montpellier v Ulster live.

What a result! That team plays with real guts and comittment. Fantastic defence and cracking try from the Rev, who had to catch two passes behind him en route. Jacko gets better and better.

Re: Montpellier vs Ulster

Backrow is lightweight. None are what you would consider big lads or what you would call distinguished ball carriers of any sort (Roger slightly). Shocked Hendo isn't getting a start hoped he would maybe sneak on tour as a bolter for the Lions now he aint even getting in team with injuries to main ...

Re: Montpellier vs Ulster

So - the start-Hendo-or-not debate continues. Philosophically, I favour the notion of starting your strongest team, imposing yourself on your opponents and trying to build up an early lead. This way you can try and avoid chasing the game late on when the efforts of subs, whether supersubs or not, ma...

Re: Montpellier vs Ulster

Big Lewis and Paddy McA not on Ravens squad. TC and Johann struggling? :red: :red: :red: LastKnight says PaddyMac is injured, hamstring apparently. Sorry to hear that about PaddyMac. He has had bad luck with injuries, but is beginning to look like an injury-prone player, which is delaying his progr...

Re: Injury Update

I hate to think thet Fez might get nudged put of his contract simply because he does not make some arbitrary date, set some time ago, to prove his fitness. He is a truly exceptional player. Maybe some forget, in his absence, just how outstanding he is. If it takes a few weeks beyond the original est...

Re: Montpellier vs Ulster

Ned is a tough, abrasive, fast and experienced wing. He did have a poor game last week but I would not drop him on the basis of that. I'd give him another run to redeem himself and feel pretty sure he won't be that bad twice. If things go belly, just sub him from the bench same as you would for any ...

Re: Toulon

Fair play to the Weegies. Who would have thought they could score four tries away at Toulon after being totally humped off the park in the first half.

Re: Ulster V Leicester live.

Have to agree Baggy, the Lions contingent of Warburton, Halfpenny, Cuthbert and Jenkins have been poor , these are the guys who should be fronting up and leading from the front, hope they put in a second half performance but like yourself you wonder are they just going through the motions this seas...

Re: Munster 2013- 2014

I hate to intrude on what should be private grief, but for the usual Munster haters, but it simply has to be said & nobody has said it yet. The total clowns who were shouting for ROG to be replaced last season by Keatley should shut their heinously stupid thrapples and never again utter another stu...
