Re: ULSTER MOTM vs Glasgow

John Andrew for me - probably his best game yet! Reidy, Marty and Cooney ran him close with very good outings. Faddes and Carter answered some questions. The pack were solid and Jared will have been pleased with the defensive effort. A game that was enjoyable to watch without having to hide behind t...

Re: Autumn Nations Cup aka 8 Nations

The good news is that we will probably get Jacob back for Ulster matches now that Lowe is in the squad - along with Stu and Billy once they’ve finished holding tackle bags!!

Re: Cardiff Blues v ULSTER MoTM?

Mike Lowry for me - he actually seems to be getting better and better! Honourable mentions for Cooney, McCloskey and Marty Moore who put in a very solid shift in every sense. Good to see Luke back and McIlroy getting an opportunity- both did well.

Re: Ospreys Vs Ulster Sat 10th October 5.15pm Premier Sports

It would more likely be forfeited by Ulster rather than postponed surely?

Re: Ulster v Benetton Friday October 2nd 8:15pm KO

World class player on the pitch and a real good guy off it. His commitment, given he was on a short term arrangement, was astonishing! I remember him coming back on to the pitch at Ravenhill after playing a full 80+ and putting younger players to shame by doing half and full length full-on sprints -...

Re: Ulster v Benetton MoTM

Some good performances from the youngsters- Moore did very well but inexperience saw him caught offside 2 or 3 times, Hume was strong and dependable. The bench didn’t let us down - big Gareth looked solid and McCann didn’t look out of place at all. Overall I thought the back row were particularly st...

Re: Toulouse v ULSTER MoTM?

If only he was 20% taller and heavier! Had to give it to wee Mike Lowry for sheer guts and flashes of brilliance - even before he slotted in well to out half! He is a real talent - but........!

Gave it to the Bangor Bulldozer but an honourable mention to young Lowry who really put himself about.

Re: What makes you happy

He doesn't need to mince his words or go all PC when he has such raw talent to back up what he said!! Love it!
He's not a bad author either - read his two novels a while back and enjoyed them - nothing fancy but half decent yarns nonetheless.

Re: Big Nick

Fond memories of Big Nick - he brightened up many an otherwise miserable Friday night. Of course he was a liability as well, but deadly from 3 yards out! The sight of Nick’s head bobbing in the middle of a maul with the ball held up above him in his massive paw will be forever etched in the memory! ...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Leicester at home HEC - when he put a knife in their broken hearts with his cheeky bonus-point-winning tap n go try? You forgot three words. Yer welcome ;) Indeed! GMA! Sweet memories nonetheless - Ben Young’s tears, the crowd singing a lovely rendition of Swing Low (mixed with Cheerio Sweet...

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

At the last Meet the Players event Jonny expressed his frustration at not getting game time and squad time saying he spent more time with Banbridge - so perhaps no surprise that he wants to move on especially with Alby coming in etc. A pity really I thought he was good home grown talent and had the ...

Re: Ospreys v Ulster Sat Feb 15

Moore, Lowry and Ludik available for the weekend. Bit soon for Sam Carter. Via Adam McKendry in the Twitter sphere. A bit soon for Lowry too. He will just return to full contact this week. Speaking with him at the meet the players event last night he said that although he was technically available ...
