Re: Ireland vs France
[quote="ruckover"]Until we get a coach that doesn't care about world rankings and cares more about our future then Irish rugby is in big trouble. Autumn Internationals and Summer Tests are for slowly introducing new players to the international scene. Kidney does not do that. Who cares if you're whi...

Re: Sad for Pocock. Good for the Lions
Pocock is having a disturbing similar time to Stevie Ferris - I guess it goes with the terrority of being a world class flank forward!!

Re: Ireland vs France
Lots of positives in the game for instance line outs and defence but backs were never ever going to score from a passing move due to a combination of the weather and Murrays shocking slow pass. However his style was on the mark for the day but on dry ground his look arround, pick up, four steps to ...

Well done the Baby Shamrocks tonight - a good win over a big French team - despite a msifunctioning line-out! Excellent performances from Olding and Joyce (who scored a very well taken try). Bodes well for the future!

Re: So much for no NIQ 10's in Ireland (excluding Connacht)
Must say that is a pi$h poor waste of a NIQ spot Is he an NIQ, though, Rooster? He has a cap for the Junior All Blacks but were they / are they New Zealand's elected "second" stream international side? Do Leinster currently have a project player? Might not be an NIQ spot after all. His one cap for ...

The Guardian is touting a Steenson return to these shores [but in a green shirt]!! The following appeared in today's edition. While Ireland continue to struggle in a world without Jonny Sexton, perhaps an answer to the problem of who should replace him at fly-half lies in Devon. Gareth Steenson stee...

Re: AIL FIXTURES
I agree with your analysis Shan - Clubs are all but being bypassed in the Provencial set-up nowadays - just a flag of convenience when it suits! In reality it is the schools where it counts now with young prospects being pulled into the academy system etc. Not all bad - but not necessarily good eit...

Dear Lord, who's heavenly son performed the first miracle at Canaan and turn water into wine, please bless these Rugby folk as they perform the miracle in reverse. Amen. Oh that is good. :D But what if that miracle had been in Hans Indaruck's homeland. "Dear Lord you performed a miracle in Cavan by...

Re: AIL FIXTURES
Hey Shan was reading on mf.com (I know I shouldnt) calls to scrap various outfits and put out a united Limerick team in the AIL. Im not sure you'd be all for it! Cant say the amalgamations ending up with the Belfast Harlequins were tremendously successful but hard to disagree that fewer bigger club...

Re: Injury Update
I seem to remember that there was an interview with Mark Anscombe about a week into his tenure were he said that he was making them do more contact work than the squad had ever done before, which he claimed was just normal in New Zealand. Is there any mileage in thinking that might be pushing the p...
