Re: Mark Anscombe?
The one think that Maaak has brought is a new ethos - which has the WHOLE squad busting the gut (and evertything else besides) to secure their place in the matchday squad and ideally the starting XV. He said it from day one and he has stuck by it. As I said on another thread (albeit tongue somewhat ...

Re: Does Ulster's S&C need a health check???
The reason for the injuries is simple we have a squad of players who are giving 100% every game putting their heart, soul and body into ensuring them can legitimately claim their place in the team - so in sum its Maaaark's fault! That plus a run of bad luck!

Re: Who should start for Ireland
Why shuffle around for the kicking duties? There might be hidden talents in the pack - step up Ireland's answer to 'Mr Nobody' [John Eales] - perhaps Devon Toner - surely he has to be good at something other than just being tall??!!

Re: Scotland v Ireland
The good news is that Luke Marshall has nailed himself into contention. The Ginger Prince perhaps less so but still certainly a contender as his defensive work cannot have gone unnoticed. OK Rory didn't have his best day at the office a couple of off colour throws and a couple of penalties given, bu...

Re: Ingerlund, Ingerlund, Ingerlund!
Errors, errors, errors! That plus a questionable game plan. Ironically ROG made a positive difference - but it was all on the back foot. Absolutely no punch to break the line - no innovation - just slog which was never going to win a match like that. POM did very well IMHO despite his critics on thi...

So Bellyups, it has taken you the grand total of 10 posts on this board to be offensive and insulting to one of the most respected contributors on the forum. Mind you, that post was pretty well in keeping with the other nine, so maybe we have to give you a fool's pardon. If you care to use your eye...

Re: 6 Nations 2013
Come on Italy. Winning this week would do wonders for them in terms of moving forward as a real potential player in the 6N going forward....or if you like, finally taking their place in the 6N after an apprenticeship period of 12 years. Italy - still on for a Grand Slam!! What odds for an Italy v I...

Re: Ulster v Ospreys
Olding at 10 is a promising prospect. Especially between RP and PaddyW. I thought he played a blinder against Wales in the U20 last week. He was out of position at FB but he hardly put a foot wrong and tackling was immense. I agree the back row is potentially a weak link but then again we are so us...

Re: Ulster v Ospreys
Actually, I've thought about this some more. We're in the midst of an injury crisis: Payne, macklin, wilson, ferris, williams, doyle, paddy mac, bowe, d'arcy and bowe all out. Players off on irish duty and we're playing last year's champions yet one of our key players in the most key position is sw...

As already proven this season - Ulster can drive a coach [and horses] through anything Leinster have to offer!!

Re: Ulster v Ospreys
There's always been give and take with Ulster. It's the same John Afoa who last year turned up ahead of schedule to help with an injury crisis. He'll be there when he's needed I'm sure. Equally, if the cowboy and DH figure that they can cut him some slack then I'll go with their decision. Totally a...

Re: Programmes Wanted
Bit of a long shot - but you might want to give Ulster Rugby a shout for the Ravenhill match programme - they have been good enough to help me out in this respect in the past. Try the ticket office on 02890 493222. Word of warning - they will be busy with Heiny Cup Quarter final tickets over the nex...

Re: Ulster v Ospreys
Who are Andrew Warwick & Neil Walsh in the same training picks? AIL players? Edit just spotted other post we both await an answer please? Warwick and Walsh have both featured for the Ravens - Warwick in the front row (loosie but can also hook I think? ) and Walsh is a back (wing - but may play else...
