Re: Irish Lions

If Gatland leans any way it will be towards the Welsh - but with so many injuries there even he will be hard pushed to justify some selections. To be fair he generally has been a 'pick 'em on form' person - he has already mentioned Gilroy as coming under his radar. The key aspect the selection pool ...

Re: Where will we be Standing Up for the 1/4s

I think the overnight is cheaper because it is using scheduled flights wheras the one day jobby has to use a charter plane because of the timings etc.

Anyone know if the LV Cup game against Cardiff this weekend is televised? Would like a wee duke to see how the pitch fares!

No problems with them - hassle free - but you will need to be quick as places are filling up rapidly - already a nightmare trying to get through to them on the phone!!

Re: ERC player of the year shortlist

ColinM - I agree that Best has a lot more to his game than his darts - and certainly his prowess in the scrum is one of his top attributes (along with his excellent tackling, work at the breakdown, ball carrying etc etc etc etc!!). However, I cannot agree with you analysis of the dark arts - but thi...

Re: Sarries away it is then....

The question is where would it be played - Twickers? Unlikely for a 1/4 perhaps? Wembley has something on that weekend as has Vickerage Road.

Re: the greatest win in France since the 32nd Ulster divisio

The scale of loss is unimaginable in modern terms and to use words like "bullshit" to describe it is quite sickening Baggy.

Agree with the sentiment - but to be accurate some 14m died in WW1 whereas some 35m died in WW2. There are no winners in wars!

So did mine. He didn't.
It was a sort of victory - but only second time around. But with respect - weren't the French on our side then??!!

The wind didn't affect Castres. They won 100% of their line outs.
Granted - but they had a lot less line outs! Anyway - the scrum percentage figure is the one to relish!!

Re: Positives and negatives: Ulster V Castres

Positives - a win in france with a half strength team. Proof positive of the strength in depth. Our 'Enry (MOTM?!) cementing his place in the back row for a green jersey (outside chance of a red one?). Great scrum. Negatives - Too many handling errors. [NB not all Rory's fault for the darts - the wi...
