Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Leinster?

Great team performance all round. VDM, Lulu, Gillers and Nugget were all outstanding but Hendo was a cut above - he just seems to get better and better!

Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Connacht?

My vote goes to Rory - but with special mentions to Hendon, VDM , PJ and Ludo? In terms of the match overall serious credit must go to Henshaw, Healy and Muldoon. What a match!

Re: What are you listening to?

The Ritz was a cinema on the corner of the Grosvenor Road and the Castle Inn was a pub in Castle entry where BHS are now . You could have a glass of Beer and a Ferguson's pie for 1 /6 at lunch time . Ferguson's made the pies in a building close to Littlewoods in Ann St opposite the Capstan Bar and ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Went to the 60th anniversary Eurovision show this week – it’s on the tele tomorrow I think. Ireland legend Johnny Logan was on good form. There was some Riverdancing earlier in the evening too for some reason. Brotherhood of Man, Lordi and Bobbysox were the best, along with Conchita’s Bond theme th...

Re: Soccer ball at Ravespan?

Does anyone know the total capacity of each stand, and terrace at Ravers? Or where this could be found? From memory - Memorial and Family Stands approx 1750 seated each - main stand approx 3500 - east seating approx 1000. That makes about 8,000 seated - the rest (10,000) standing on the 4 terraces....

Re: Sam Windsor signs for Ulster

Love the way so many on this forum write off players they have never seen Is the glass EVER half full Based on recent experience it may be that there is concern when we read from Mr Windsor Unfortunately injury and surgery has prevented me from playing with Worcester since my arrival in December, b...

Re: Marshall and Wilson cited

The lad Hughes from Wasps got "3 weeks" last night for his accidential knee to North's head on Fri night. Banned for next 4 weekends (until April 28). Its more like a 3 game ban, potentially 4 if Wasps beat Comic Book Guy's World XV on Sunday. Surely a certainty that Williams will miss the rest of ...

Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Cardiff Blues?

I too thought Scholes was excellent - put in some great hits defensively and has a great turn of pace. Herring was everywhere and really is the No 2 of first choice in waiting - we must hold on to him! Herbst was solid as ever - hopefully he has only a twinge as is not badly hurt as we will need him...

I deem them cowards. Je suis Pat Lam aussi. Cmon Baggers. ...

Re: I'm out

We have not become a bad team overnight! Rather we have diligently taken time and care to become one. However, I am inclined to agree that the demise of Ulster as a team to watch and support is not yet terminal and there are brighter days to come. We have certainly had downs of late - not least in r...

Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Dragons?

Very painful to even think back on this match! Gilroy did what was required (but even then some of his kicks weren't the best!), Herring put in a reasonable shift (bar a squint throw) as did Herbst. Is it just me or is VDM starting to look and play a bit tired? On balance Gilroy for turning up to pl...

Re: Shocking Calls

Yes. Top quality interview. Calling it for what it was. Pat Lam >you_rock . I always liked Pat Lam - both as a coach and a player. This is exactly what you want from someone in charge of a rugby team 100% professional response which nails the issues without any histrionics etc. Mind you - the evide...

Re: Marshall and Wilson cited

There is a need to get all this safety first business sorted out once and for all as it is ruining the game. The Disciplinary Panel dealt with neither offence in accordance with the laws of the game, but by some vague, ad hoc guidance as to how the laws should be enforced. There is a way to appeal ...

Last night I had the great pleasure of attending an Open House gig at SERC Bangor, 3 acts, Prima Quartet, Ports, & John Smith. All excellent, Prima Quartet are 4 fragrant ladies playing strings, they started, then backed Derry band Ports (formerly Little Bear - in which a nephew of mine plays), the...
