Re: A review of Props at Ulster

What happened to James Harrison? He played Tighthead for Methody the season before last and won the Schools player of the year. Seemed pretty talented, there has to be a problem when the player considered to be the best schools player of that year is not involved with Ulster a year or so later. Any ...

A review of Props at Ulster

With the news of Tom Court leaving and John Afoa's departure also extremely likely, I thought it would be interesting to look at what Ulster have available to them next year at both LH and TH prop. Ages of the 1st of September 2014. Loosehead Callum Black[28] - good, solid player Paddy MacAllister[2...

Re: Chris Farrell's future?

finally a measured response. perhaps he could play 13, but i'm unsure. I'm not calling for him to play now, just wondering how he is viewed. Your question was specifically about 12 so the answers were about 12. What was unmeasured? He's not as good as Marshall, Olding or Wallace. He has more of a c...

Re: Chris Farrell's future?

See no reason Farrell can't play 13. He's looked decent when playing there. Its not like there are no big powerful tall 13s like him around - SBW played a few games there, Rougerie plays there, Mortlock played there. But not sure there's a lot sensible to be said about this at the moment. First he ...

Re: Chris Farrell's future?

This time last year, pre injury, he was more highly rated than Olding. That a personal opinion as mine is the total opposite. Farrell had been playing/training with the full team in preseason last season. Olding was with the u20 team. Farrell started more games the previous year for Ireland u20 asw...
