Re: Injury Update

I (very briefly) tried to play on when I broke my fib playing footy. I then limped to the touchline and hung around for 25 minutes until half time when I was asked if I was OK to come back on. I declined on the basis that my leg was still broken and managed to persuade a teammate to drive me to hosp...

Re: Injury Update

When he stumbled/caught his studs in the turf, he immediately felt for his left knee.

It could be anything but he got a fairly thorough examination at one stage which presumably didn't detect any instability in the joint.

Anxious times for sure though.

Re: Ulster v Zebre Sat 11th March 6:05pm KO BBC2NI

Nice not to have to take any time off work to get to a game. Just watching the match through. Herbst was showings some signs of what he can do. Hope he can stay fit and get some more games under his belt. Am looking forward to taking a closer look of what Rodney did or didn't get through. I remember...

Re: Belfast restaurants

I ended up in the Red Panda on Saturday night but, after starting off in the pool hall in Robinson's at midday, I can't rightly remember whether it was good or not. I probably had the Singapore noodles. Beacuse I always do. Had lunch in the House Bar and Kitchen on Stranmillis on Sunday on the way b...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`

There's a new generation of voters for whom the past associations are becoming less relevant. There was a MCB Sinn Fein voter on the radio yesterday ffs! Seemingly gays and weemins rights activists from the unionist community are also attracted by their policies of social inclusion. Would love them...

Re: Loose Head - Van der Merwes (Hond) Signs

Hold the phone. I've just seen yer man's coupon in the Smellygraph. Methinks we've been buying snake oil again. Have we bothered to check his birth certificate? FFS he looks older than me and I'm more than twice his age. I know front row fatties age faster than the rest, especially the show ponies ...

We're showing England v Scotland on the TVs in-stadium before Saturday's game v Zebre (gates open at 4.35pm). Who will you be supporting? https://t.co/Djc5yAtBkU Idiots. Opening the gates 5mins from the end of the first half. At least they are showing it, well 2nd half anyway... Indeed - first half...

I can binge on dead animals as well as the next man.

I was hoping to get to Fray Bentos to pay tribute to their contribution to the British war efforts over the years but things haven't been the same since a few Jocks were inadvertently poisoned in the '60s.

Re: Best Destination you've ever been to?

Looks like we've got the honeymoon sorted.

A wine tasting tour - Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.

Might have got married earlier if I'd known that was on the cards!

They're playing Cardiff in Cardiff which sounds like an away match, both nominally and in reality, to me!

Re: RBS 6 Nations 2017

Am I devastated you ask? I am devastated that Jonathan Sexton doesn't get anything but dog's abuse on this forum but I am not surprised. I can understand Ulster fans' need to promote Paddy and denigrate Jonny but PJ's time will come. In the meantime let's enjoy having very good players at 10. He's ...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017

My old man was indeed a Grasshopper. Preston not Zurich. I can cope with the 'Anyone but England' approach. Inverted snobbery has led to me largely giving the sport a wide berth until I found my spiritual home at Ravenhill. The concept of the Lions fascinates me in many ways (and it ought to be the ...
