Re: What annoys people????

It's called Derry in the same way Carrickfergus is called Carrick. People who call in Londonderry in casual conversation are trying to make a political point, knobs. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk By that logic it should be Fergus ? Derry is used as much as a political statement as Londonderry...

Re: Irish Unity

Republic of Ireland has been a allegdedly net contributor because UK bailed them out from; 2008? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk Hardly a bail out. The UK lent Ireland money and has received £42m in interest every 6 months as a result. https://www.irishtimes.com/business/economy/ireland-p...

Re: Irish Unity

Why wouldn't we all be better off financially? I don't know the answer to that, but it is much more than simply the business community etc would perform differently and other countries or EU would pump money in. When it comes down to the nitty gritty, people tend to vote according to how it will af...

Re: Irish Unity

Yes, a million euro each and I think we would all feck aff back to Scotland! Would also buy some pad with panoramic sea views on the Devon or Cornwall coast if you were that way inclined. It would take much less for me to vote for unity..... a simple indication that I'd be financially better off or...

Re: Irish Unity

If I was offered One Million pounds (or even euros) to vote for a United Ireland I suppose I would have to think long and hard about it and might well vote YES. But I very much doubt that that offer is going to happen so I don't waste much of my time lying in bed at night thinking or worrying about...

Re: Biblical matters

'It proves there is logical inconsistencies with Roman Catholic doctrine' Religious faith is a logical inconsistency. Why single out Catholicism in that regard? 'I have never been to and refuse to attend 11th/12th/13th 'celebrations' because it is a waste of time.' I don't know why you're bringing ...

http://www.thewicketgate.org/2015/05/christianity-is-not-an-umbrella-term/ This is a helpful article for those still confused Odd. Re: Biblical matters

Youse are spitting hairs lads. There's much bigger theological debates out there. Such as, who's more Pradestant, Mooslims or Hindoos and whose flegs should leylists be buying, India's or Pakistan's? Have you seen the colour of thon Indian fleg? Can't see that fluttering from the lamp posts on Sand...

Re: Biblical matters

You haven't answered my question about Henry VIII. You stated 'Henry VIII split the CoI from Rome and so on and is still celebrated quite widely today among Protestant churches'. Why is he still celebrated among Protestant churches? To my knowledge, he didn't have any theological differences with th...

Re: Biblical matters

Eh? All I said is that no protestant denomination (speaking generally about Baptist/Pres, CoI) has a church-wide history of child abuse, unlike the RC church. It has nothing to do with theology and doctrine, my point was that the theology of a protestant (in the reformed sense, not bang the drum/ma...

Re: Six Nations 18/19

According to Murray Kinsella, Sexton was drunk off at Stockdale when he came off. https://mobile.twitter.com/Murray_Kinsella/status/1100035734579412995 Sexton has been a whinge his whole career. I remember a season or two ago, the cameras picked him up berating a team mate for some perceived fault....
